WHO IS A VIP?
A very important person (VIP) is a person who is accorded special privileges due to their status or importance.
Examples include celebrities, heads of state or heads of government, other politicians, major employers, high rollers, high-level corporate officers, wealthy individuals, or any other notable person who receives special treatment for any reason.
The special treatment usually involves separation from common people, and a higher level of comfort or service.
Britain has an official number of 84 VIPs. France has 109, Japan has 125 and Germany has 142.
The total number of VIPs in the USA are 252, Russia 312 and the total number of VIPs in China is 435.
India has a total no of 19000+ VIPs. It seems like every Tom, Dick, Harry, Anurag and Kangana is a VIP here. No wonder we have become such a mediocre country.

GROWING CANCER BURDEN.
Cancer is primarily a disease of older people, hence, as life expectancy went up, cancer incidences too went up, said Dr. Mallath, a senior consultant of Digestive Oncology.
Maximum increases will occur in the most populous and least developed States, where the facilities for cancer diagnostics and treatment are grossly inadequate.
The types of cancers in India are also undergoing a transition, similar to a report from Japan five decades ago.
There has been a decline of cancers caused by infections, such as cervical, stomach, and penile cancer, and an increase in cancers associated with energy intake, physical activity imbalance and ageing, such as breast, colorectal and prostate cancers.

RUSSIAN MILITARY POWER.
Russia and India have about the same annual military budgets. Look at what the Russian budget supports, and we know what we have got. The Russian spend about a third of what the Chinese do.
The Global Firepower Index shows Russia at second place.
Like India, Britain, France, Germany and Japan have similar annual military budgets. Yet on a budget like that Russia is willing and able to deploy power in far away places.
Its new nuclear attack submarines now prowl all the oceans. Its long range bombers project power deep into the neighboring skies. Clearly power is something more than just money and manpower.
Biggest problem facing the country is the concentration of wealth in the hands of few and their complete lack of confidence in the the economy going forward.
What has happened over the last eight years is that Modi has followed an agenda of making people poor (to make them dependent on the government and thus appear as their savior when giving free ration, etc.) and transfer the money into the hands of the rich.
Taxes have been socialized and profits have been privatized.
But this has had a bad effect on the economy. The purchasing power of the masses has eroded and that has led to fall in sales of products and services of the big corporate entities.
What will happen if Gautam Adani's empire collapses?
Many people are asking these questions. This is because the group is heavily into debt, some 2,20,000 Crores of it.
And there are fears that it may not be able to service this debt and may collapse.
But when it collapses, what will happen to the share holders?
The big relief is that retail investors are not holding too much equity in his companies.
That is why the prices could be manipulated and prices could be raised. Most of the equity is held by the promoter. What would be interesting to know, how much of that equity has been pledged to the banks and how much money has been borrowed against those pledged securities.
Like who else can screw up so many times and still keep winning elections?
Let us look at the alternatives.
Like Mamata Banerjee is well ensconced in West Bengal.
She has tried to contest elections in Goa but met with a complete wash out.
Arvind Kejriwal is an alternative that is because he is the smaller version of Modi being promoted by RSS.
For India, that would be like jumping from the fire into the frying pan (I know the proverb is other way around but then this situation is other way around too).
Like Nitish Kumar is a spent force. He can't even control Bihar.
