Better late than never: the Week 17 elimination scenario thread!

A whopping 10 teams can be eliminated this week. In the AFC, that's the #Patriots, #Jets, #Raiders and #Steelers

In the NFC Wildcard picture, the #Commanders, #Lions, #Packers and #Seahawks could all get eliminated this week

And in the NFC South race, the #Panthers and #Saints could be knocked out.

It's actually possible or the #Saints to get eliminated from the NFC South race but NOT the division, which says something about the bottom of the NFC.

A loss alone doesn't end the #Packers; they'd need a win by someone further up the food chain for Week 18 to be meaningless.

The #Lions are in a similar boat to the Packers, but they can eliminate Green Bay, not vice-versa.

The #Seahawks have yet another iteration on the GB/DET elimination scenario, needing at least one of them to win to get cleared out.

And yup, throw the #Commanders on the pile, too. Four variations on a theme.

The #Cowboys win last week kept them alive in the NFC East hunt, but now their fate is out of their hands.

The #49ers have the same bye week elimination scenario, but they could also be locked into third should the worst happen.

The #Vikings, meanwhile, only have the bye week scenario, as they continue to be made primarily from magic.

The #Dolphins can't get eliminated entirely this week, though a loss would put them behind the eight-ball for the seventh seed in Week 18.

The #Chargers could actually get locked into #6 this week, if everything broke exactly right -- lose to the Rams, have the Ravens beat the Steelers, and have the Patriots beat the Dolphins. Week 18 off!

The #Ravens are the thorn in the Bengals-Chiefs-Bills race to the top, able to slip in to the AFC North title and wreck things. That could come to an end this week.

The #Bengals MNF game against the Bills is easily the game of the week. If the Bengals can't come out on top, they can kiss the bye week goodbye.

I don't expect the #Chiefs to lose to the Saints. But if they did, they could see the bye week slip away.
