#BharatJodaYatra
The walk that is creating waves in the country but which is being kept under wraps by the mainstream media....
"Bharat Jodo yatra
When the Yatra started, most of us had little idea about what it was other than the objectives that the media cooked up.
From being a politically motivated move to Rahul Gandhi's rebranding, a lot was fed to us. Only those who were participating in it had some idea about how to articulate it's objectives.
But as time has passed, as people have joined in their lakhs, one needs to sit back and interpret the many dimensions that it has grown into.
From reminding India it's essential secular and democratic culture to bringing people together, from igniting Congress supporters to gaining appreciation from its sceptics to opponents, from being a physical exercise to now a spiritual revolution it has achieved so much that I…
…could write a whole thesis on it.
One couldn't walk 3500+ kilometres, with just political ambition, it would be pretty obvious as we could see in the copycat Yatras of other parties. One couldn't do it either, if it was to show physical fitness.
One couldn't do it to change the minds of people. Rahul Gandhi increasingly seems like he is doing it, because he wants to unite people.
Unite people by empathic listening, by absorbing the challenges that people feel living in an increasingly hopeless, insecure situation, by becoming one with India.
Contrary to popular opinion, i feel that by ignoring the Yatra, the Godi media and ruling powers, it has added to the credibility of the Yatra. You can feel it in the confidence with which Congress leaders now shun the mainstream media, in their criticism of the media.
It is their desire that disown, discredit and distract people with malignant campaigns about shoes, shirts, undergarments and anything possible, that fascists have surrendered to it.
From the initial impression of yatra for congress, the Yatra now stands for all the ills that have befallen the country. It has become a wholesome expression of how India is feeling.
You can see it very clearly specifically through the things that people associate the Yatra with now.
It represents the unemployed, the poor, the minorities, the weak, women, children, students, youth, the fight against hate, division and discrimination, a revival of unity, alongside total upgrade in Rahul Gandhi himself, the Yatra has delivered so much more.
The meaning and the essence of the Yatra, and the resulting objectives have only just been acknowledged and understood in nuance by leading thinkers of India. In times to come, the real deliverables of yatra will be far bigger, far reaching and impactful.
I say this because India as a whole has just about started paying it proper attention and giving it's due. In time, the wholesome outcome of this yatra will surprise even the congress.
You can see the result of it in the ideological discourse that Rahul and his team present in the press briefings. For the rest of us, we will wait for the good ones, to completely study and unravel the many dimensions that this yatra had grown into. "

GROWING CANCER BURDEN.
Cancer is primarily a disease of older people, hence, as life expectancy went up, cancer incidences too went up, said Dr. Mallath, a senior consultant of Digestive Oncology.
Maximum increases will occur in the most populous and least developed States, where the facilities for cancer diagnostics and treatment are grossly inadequate.
The types of cancers in India are also undergoing a transition, similar to a report from Japan five decades ago.
There has been a decline of cancers caused by infections, such as cervical, stomach, and penile cancer, and an increase in cancers associated with energy intake, physical activity imbalance and ageing, such as breast, colorectal and prostate cancers.

WHO IS A VIP?
A very important person (VIP) is a person who is accorded special privileges due to their status or importance.
Examples include celebrities, heads of state or heads of government, other politicians, major employers, high rollers, high-level corporate officers, wealthy individuals, or any other notable person who receives special treatment for any reason.
The special treatment usually involves separation from common people, and a higher level of comfort or service.
Britain has an official number of 84 VIPs. France has 109, Japan has 125 and Germany has 142.

RUSSIAN MILITARY POWER.
Russia and India have about the same annual military budgets. Look at what the Russian budget supports, and we know what we have got. The Russian spend about a third of what the Chinese do.
The Global Firepower Index shows Russia at second place.
Like India, Britain, France, Germany and Japan have similar annual military budgets. Yet on a budget like that Russia is willing and able to deploy power in far away places.
Its new nuclear attack submarines now prowl all the oceans. Its long range bombers project power deep into the neighboring skies. Clearly power is something more than just money and manpower.
Biggest problem facing the country is the concentration of wealth in the hands of few and their complete lack of confidence in the the economy going forward.
What has happened over the last eight years is that Modi has followed an agenda of making people poor (to make them dependent on the government and thus appear as their savior when giving free ration, etc.) and transfer the money into the hands of the rich.
Taxes have been socialized and profits have been privatized.
But this has had a bad effect on the economy. The purchasing power of the masses has eroded and that has led to fall in sales of products and services of the big corporate entities.
What will happen if Gautam Adani's empire collapses?
Many people are asking these questions. This is because the group is heavily into debt, some 2,20,000 Crores of it.
And there are fears that it may not be able to service this debt and may collapse.
But when it collapses, what will happen to the share holders?
The big relief is that retail investors are not holding too much equity in his companies.
That is why the prices could be manipulated and prices could be raised. Most of the equity is held by the promoter. What would be interesting to know, how much of that equity has been pledged to the banks and how much money has been borrowed against those pledged securities.
