#Somalia: Islamic State Wilāyah as-Sūmāl claims to have attacked a base of Puntland forces with machine guns yesterday in the town of (بلي طدن), southeast of the city of Bosaso. One soldier was allegedly killed and another was injured.
The last attack claimed by IS - Wilāyah as-Sūmāl before this one in the autonomous state of Puntland was in June 2021.
#Somalia: Security officials have confirmed the killing of Abu Albara al-Amani, the leader of IS militants in Bari region and an Ethiopian national, in a clash with security forces in Balidhidhin, in the autonomous state of Puntland.

The Moroccan Bureau Central d'Investigations Judiciaires (BCIJ) and Spain have teamed up to dismantle on Wednesday a three-member ISIS cell active in Spain and Morocco.

BCIJ services arrested one of the ISIS suspects in Chtouka Ait Baha province in the Souss-Massa region, in cooperation with Morocco’s Direction Général de Surveillance du Térritoire (DGST) special forces.
The operation took place simultaneously with the arrest of two other members of the same cell in Spain by Spanish police in Almeria.

Bakakhel tehsil is the place where the group had previously claimed to have executed an alleged spy who was allegedly working for the Pākistāni Military Intelligence. This could be the reason:
The alleged “operative” is probably still alive. The militants are willing to provide “proof” to his family or local tribe.
