#Afghanistan: Islamic State Wilāyah Khorāsān claims to have attacked a bus that was carrying an Afghān Ṭālibān official with machine guns in Herāt city. The said official was killed, along with 2 of his companions, and 4 others suffered injuries. The last attack (a suicide attack to be more precise) by the Islamic State - Khorāsān Province (ISKP) in Afghānistān was almost 2 months ago.

It seems like the mention of the Coimbatore & Mangaluru blasts in the latest edition of the Voice of Khorāsān magazine has led to a kerfuffle. So, while the investigation goes on, here's my perspective on the whole saga: The reason why “Voice of Khorāsān” chose to to mention the blasts in its 23rd edition is because “Sawt al-Hind” -- the magazine of Islamic State Wilāyah al-Hind - has been dormant for some 10 months now.

#Afghanistan: Ẓabiullah Mujahid claims that Qari Fateh, ISKP head of eastern zone & intelligence chief of the group, has been killed in a raid last night in PD-17 of Kabul city. He also confirmed that Eijaz Ahmed Ahanger (former head of ISHP) was killed a fortnight ago in Kabul. Eijaz Ahmed Ahanger was killed on February 14 in Kabul, along with 2 other members. One was captured alive. Islamic State Wilāyah Pākistān's (ISPP) official channel has confirmed Ahanger's death. Amaq is yet to release a poster or statement.

#Afghanistan: Explosions + gunfire heard in Khaīr Khānah area, PD-17 of Kabul city. Ṭālibān fighters have raided an ISKP hideout. At least 2 militants have been killed. Ṭālibān security forces killed two militants from the Islamic State group and detained a third in an overnight raid in the Afghān capital of Kabul, the spokesman for the Ṭālibān government said Monday.

Fursan-e-Mohammad: There is paltry information available about the group. It is said that it had close ties with al-Qāʿidah and most importantly, the Commander of the group, Ibrahim, was killed in a U.S. drone strike along with an Arab al-Qāʿidah commander and... a Türkish foreign fighter in the village of Norak, North Waziristan district in June, 2010.

The village of Norak is an area that was under the influence of the Haqqani Network.
