#SupremeCourt द्वारा अपने फैसले में की गई टिप्पणी के बाद #sikkim में विरोध प्रदर्शन तेज हो गया था। बहुसंख्यक सिक्किम-नेपाली समुदाय ने इस पर कड़ा विरोध दर्ज किया था।
13 जनवरी, 2023 को सुप्रीम कोर्ट द्वारा #Sikkim के नेपालियों को ‘विदेशी मूल के व्यक्ति’ बताए जाने पर बहुत दिनों से बवाल मचा हुआ है। इसके ख़िलाफ़ केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालय ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट में एक पुनर्विचार याचिका दायर की थी।
यह पहली बार नहीं है जब कोर्ट की बयानबाज़ी के चलते समाज में हलचल मची हो।

भारत के बढ़ते फार्मा उद्योग को लगातार निशाने पर लिया जा रहा है। अब एक ताजा मामला उज्बेकिस्तान का है, यहाँ के स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय ने 28 दिसम्बर को एक बयान जारी कर कहा कि ‘भारत में निर्मित’ कफ सिरप के ओवरडोज की वजह से उसके देश में 18 बच्चों की मृत्यु हुई है
असल तथ्य यह है कि इन बच्चों ने इस सिरप को अधिक मात्रा में बिना डॉक्टर की सलाह के लिया था।

मंत्रालय ने बताया कि इस सिरप को दिन में 1 से 2 बार ही 100 से 125 मिलीग्राम मात्रा में लिया जाना चाहिए, जबकि इन बच्चों ने इससे कहीं अधिक मात्रा और ज्यादा बार इस सिरप का उपयोग किया।
कांग्रेस नेता जयराम रमेश भी इस मामले में भारतीय दवा कम्पनी के खिलाफ उतर गए हैं
