1/ Operational situation update/ #russian_invasion in #Ukraine on March 13, 2023
quick update -
#RussianArmy failed on all their attacks around #Bakhmut, but have some real success in the south!
Also out of the city in the North North West area

2/ so as usual Ru attacked the north part of the area of #Bakhmut and even if they were stopped they are slightly progressing right now.
today was really "special" as my first tweet showed that Colonel General Олександр #Сирський explained the ongoing difficulties around Bakhmut

3/ but apparently it was all day long and with a lots of volume in specific areas like in the south of the city.
i had 3 diff very reliable reports, one one them from a commander. So today they did not try that much to attack from the north (river, more defense now, etc) or by

4/ the East side of the city were they were pushed back (even if they claimed they crossed the river) destroyed! so they are not advancing as strongly there as days ago.
now they are focusing in the south to try to reach the main axis (one of the main LOCs)

5/ explained they called for Arty to destroy them all with precision ammo and it did work but in the process, they have "pulverized" the houses/buildings there, and there is no more really possibility to established new defense "lines" / systems to contain Ru advances. so they to

6/ to fold back..
and this how, even if it is the more stupid thing, Russians are progressing.
Sadly Ukraine has not enough men power to put there to face Ru & to avoid this situation. you can't stop continuous waves of dozen of men unless you put a certain number in front of

7/ them. so they are "fixing" them in an area, call for arty to obliterate them, and deal with it like that.
so Ukrainians are preserving their men and use "few" in the process, but they can't stay in a definitive defensive position in the process, because Ru are also calling

8/ their own artillery to shell the sh.. of the Ukr positions even if they need 10 times the amount of ammo and kill some of their guys in the process.
Net result is stupid "progression".

9/ in the other areas like to #ChassivYar or other directions it's difficult but Ru are not able to achieve the same and maybe are not fully willing to commit as much there.

10/ also today just quick note, the situation is also quite difficult in the entire area around #Kreminna.
this morning Hayday reported as some other channels that Russian have now, one more time, a big wave of new reserves coming in (at least they are not coming in one block)

11/ anyway that's it for now.
we'll see tomorrow.
how it goes. but the "drawer" i described once is being to be smaller now and some commanders are ok to stay as some units wants to get out...

12/ don't worry Russians are having tons of problems on their sides and are whining a lot..
