Apparently some of the people who consulted with Smith earlier this week are now claiming that because we reposted a publicly shared post of the anti-trans policies round table that we were “doxxing” them.
First of all, that’s not doxxing.

Secondly, reposting a publicly posted picture that very clearly had no privacy protections in place is literally how social media works.
Platforms have a variety of privacy protections that anyone can avail themselves of.
Chosing to post for clout or whatever is a choice.

But instead of taking responsibility for their role in providing political cover and legitimizing Smiths policies that literally every medical body in the province and many across Canada, some in that picture are now throwing the victim card around.

This Tylenot™️, UCP Travel, Vanche Masks, Ministers, Invest Alberta, Chiefs of Staff and staffers travel thing is so so much worse than we’re prepared to handle at our little pod.
Like, this is so unbelievably corrupt and bad.

This is well beyond our capabilities as a webseries.
Today has been absolutely off the hook.
We want to thank everyone who has reached out to us with tips (please keep them coming!)
But we know our limitations, and as always, we’re not journalists.
/2
With that in mind, we’re handing off what we have, and what receive in the future in regards to this story to those who have the actual chops and resources to see this thing through.
(It’s so bad)
We’re assured that they’ll be chasing this absolute dumpster fire down.

Today Smith claimed that conservatives have been the targets of dangerous rhetoric and that she’s never engaged in that sort of thing…
So yeah, thread…

#abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
As Smith tries to make the argument that dangerous rhetoric pushes people to action and she would never ever engage in that kind of language…
Let’s turn back the clock just a few months ago.
To Tucker fest.
Course, there’s also the point in time where she claimed that Justin Trudeau was “coming for your speech”, completely misrepresenting the actual situation before saying it was “dangerous to Canadian democracy”
We don’t know most of the actual journalists who cover Alberta politics, but we’re sure they’re really, really nice.
We have a Prime Minister and a premier (god help us), not a president or a governor.

We have two official languages, and we have a few folks on the team who can speak both!
And you can say it “About” or “aboot” because we believe in tolerance!

Despite the efforts of extremists, the Canadian flag is not something to be embarrassed of!
We believe that policing has A LOT of work to do to build trust with people, we believe in DIVERSITY and that trans kids (all kids, to be clear) deserve to be safe from bigotry!

A short thread on Billy Makis, the “keynote” member of the all star “cast” of the UCP’s anti-vax festival…
/1
Makis posted this to his own social media, where he claims to be a physician based in Edmonton and provides his registration number in response to an inquiry by CBC.
/2
Except, when you go to the College of physicians and Surgeons and look him up, he’s inactive.
Unifor local 4001 has come out condemning Nenshi’s 2019 letter to the UCP.
“Independent” of any campaign tho… right?
Cause that would be kinda…
Questionable, right?
Thread!

#abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
So the president of local 4001 is Ricky Brar. We double checked the unifor website and everything!
/2
Now of course, any reasonable person would probably assume that there would be no connection to any campaign, cause that would probably look bad for both Unifor and that campaign, right?
