The Acting Chief Justice SV Gangapurwala and Justice Sandeep Marne asked the State to place on record the steps it has taken and will take to contain the situation and help citizens.
Advocate General Birendra Saraf for the Maha Govt said the strike was "illegal". That the employees didn't have a fundamental or a moral right [to strike] and must be prohibited from continuing the strike.
The court said the Unions would have to be made a party to which Applicant Gunratan Sadavarte sought the court's permission to do the needful.
