I have followed them since 1977 watching on TV a sunny day at Wembley when the underdogs beat the champions. Followed them through the 80’s when all there were were flashes of what used to be with no idea of what might be to come 4/

What happens next is defining for United but also for football on that island. A nation state bid would destroy all meaning and this particular nation would use our heritage to divert away from their own values those that are in direct opposition to United & humanity 5/

I will have to walk away. That chord will be broken. What @MiguelDelaney has been writing about for years is on the horizon. Winning is not everything. Keeping your soul intact is. But in an imperfect world this may be the one match we need to win. 6/ #MUFC
