#Ukraine: Today's latest news from #UkraineWar: UA carried out a combined drone & ATACMS missile attack on the Beriev Aviation Scientific-Technical Complex in #Taganrog, RU, 150km from the UA frontline. At least a dozen explosions & 14 burned vehicles in the parking lot.

Today's news is dominated by #Syria, where Islamic rebels completed their overthrow of the Assad regime by taking #Damascus overnight. This evening Assad & his family appeared in Moscow where RU has given them asylum "on humanitarian grounds." x.com/bradyafr/statu… (Map: @Loveuamap)Image
#Ukraine: 2. The Syrian Army seems to have melted away, showing little resistance to the rebel tide, many Assad troops defecting. Assad's core Alawite sect (Shia Muslim like Iran) along the coastal strip were expected to support him, but in the end they defected too, many tearing down statues of Assad & his father.
#Ukraine: 3. So ends the 54 year-old dynasty of the Assad family, which in the end collapsed completely in 11 days.
