I don’t understand why ANYONE wants to be associated with the puzzle piece symbol considering the organisation that uses it partnered and supported the JRC that straps ELECTRIC SHOCK DEVICES to Autistic people. It’s stronger than a taser and designed to hurt. ImageImage

And you can’t just create another version of the puzzle piece symbol and make it into a ribbon and think that the negative ableist history of the puzzle piece symbol won’t still be associated. You simply cannot change the meaning of a symbol or erase it’s harmful ableist history by putting the puzzle piece symbol in ribbon style 🙄. And considering the connections to Autism speaks NOW… it’s even more of a reason to ditch the symbols entirely.
