Yesterday, #SwissBorg announced a major change in the long-term strategy for the $CHSB token and the whole company. The token price then collapsed. In this thread you will find a summary + my long-term view for Swissborg regarding the recent strategic changes: 1/Thread

⚠️2/ #CHSB Yield program to be discontinued: The biggest shock was the announcement that the CHSB #YieldProgram will end this month. CHSB stakers received lucrative yields based on their staked $chsb amounts. This cost the project around $8M in 2022.

📉3/ #swissborg cited several reasons for discontinuing the Yield program:
-Unsustainable long-term for the ecosystem due to high costs
-Failed to increase #CHSB price
-Negatively impacted price development by reducing token trading volume
-Hindered token listing on exchanges

🇺🇸 4/ Especially for a Listing on large Exchanges or in the US-Region, the Yield Program was counterproductive.

Other Yield programs on the platform will continue as usual.

🛡️5/ To compensate for the end of the #CHSB Yield, Swissborg introduced a new Protect & Choose program which lets the community vote monthly on how to use collected CHSB funds. Four options include Premium Safety Net, Burn, Contribution Reward, and Pass.

6/ A new Hero Score will be introduced, rewarding loyal and active users with benefits like cashback on trading fees, token airdrops, investment access, and higher voting weight in Protect & Choose and other votes. It's calculated based on the following metrics:

🚀7/ #SwissBorg Alpha: A new service offering users access to strong investment opportunities, such as pre-listed projects, seed rounds, NFT mints, and arbitrage. Alpha provides pre-built investment strategies to simplify the process for users.

🔄8/ Token Rebranding: Swissborg plans a vote to rebrand the #CHSB token to #BORG.

🌐9/ Strategy change & roadmap: #SwissBorg aims to positively influence #CHSB's development through these changes, making it more attractive for listings on other exchanges. They plan to list the token on new decentralized and centralized trading platforms

🔮10/ Investment perspective: The end of the #CHSB Yield is initially a shock, but Swissborg's reasons are valid. Short-term pain might lead to long-term success in the next bull. Swissborg's success depends on gaining recognition and adapting to the evolving crypto landscape.

💡11/ Lets be honest: despite brand awareness and nostalgic attachment, a rebranding of the token would actually be a smart move. new projects - and even rebranded ones - get waaay more atention and momentum on price movement than old ones

🤔12/ Criticisms: Announcing the end of #CHSB Yield right after the Series A funding round was not a good timing - it has a bad taste.

The quality of the Alpha service's investment opportunities depends on the offered price and products...

13/Also, Swissborg's shift towards gamification might detract from its core identity as a serious Swiss crypto asset manager - which I personaly would like to see presented more. That´s what people search and need in this still wildwest-like crypto landscape

14/ Despite the concerns, I remain invested and optimistic about #SwissBorg 's ability to perform well in the next bull market if it delivers on its new strategy. It´s wise to adapt and evolve in an as well evolving market enviornment #WeAreSwissBorg
