Bosses rig #union votes the same way Republicans rig elections: #disinformation, divide-and-rule, #VoterSuppression, #gerrymandering. Union organizers know how to win that kind of election, and they can teach us all.
The #DemocraticParty establishment wants voters to cast a ballot and then go to sleep for two years until it's time to cast another ballot. That's why they hate #unions: unions stay awake, demanding that the Democrats GOVERN instead of selling out.
.@rsgexp knows how to win elections - not with "data-driven microtargeting," but with supermajorities of active people who build their strength by winning fight after fight after fight.
Like a raptor swooping out of a nebula, a light attack craft opens fire. Its form and function mirror the attack helicopters of the 20th-21st centuries. (David R Deitrick, The Space Gamer 24, Metagaming, Sept-Oct 1979) oldschoolfrp.tumblr.com/post/715499344…

Supporting indie bookstores doesn't mean foregoing the convenience of buying online. @librofm pioneered a model where you nominate your favorite local bookstore, which receives part of the proceeds from every audiobook you buy at Libro (where all the audiobooks are DRM-free).

Each scam is its own little shell game, a set of semantic and accounting tricks used to gussy up otherwise banal rip-offs. The finance sector has a cute name for this kind of complexity: #MEGO, which stands for "#MyEyesGlazeOver."
