Some 🇮🇳 friends want to talk about this——the Battle of Rezang La.
What is it described in PLA's war history document?
Then this thread is about it——
"Rezang La Battle" in PLA's war history document
Short thread+ ImageImage
Mainly based on #PLA official war history:
—"History of Self-Defense Counterattack in China-India Border" + ImageImageImage
First, there is no such title as "Rezang La Battle" in PLA's war history documents, bcoz the battle at pass of RezangLa is a part "Pangong lok Sweeping Operation" which PLA carried out in Pangong lok area in Nov 1962.+ Image
"Pangong lok Sweeping Operation", refers to battle in PangongLok (Spanggur area) for purpose of destroying 🇮🇳 No.5, 6, 7, 8, 9 & No.16 strongholds, started on night of Nov 17, 1962.
What Indians call "Rezanla Battle" is actually the battle on No.8 & 9 strongholds at Rezanla pass+ Image
The 🇮🇳 troops stationed at the RezangLa pass No.8 & No.9 strongholds are #IndianArmy Charlie Company of 13 Kumaon Battalion(abt 150 in total).
#PLA troops carrying out assault operations are 4 companies (abt 400 in total) of the 3rd Battalion, 11th Regiment, 4th Division. ImageImage
Some Excerpts:
"Enemy has been operating here for a long time, & their fortifications are tough."
"Kumaons are very smart, they have built some false fortifications to confuse our army. These false bunkers are tall & eye-catching, while the real ones are low & hidden." ImageImage
"After battle, it was proved that these fake fortifications really deceived our army's approach reconnaissance to a great extent, which caused our artillery preparation to fail to achieve expected effect, and most of enemy fortifications survived the artillery preparation" Image
"At 7 a.m.18th, several Indian soldiers patrolling near No.8 stronghold mistakenly entered the position of our 3rd battalion, one killed by our bayonet & others fled."
"This situation immediately attracted fierce shooting from No.8 stronghold." Image
"Relying on terrain advantage, enemy fired blindly & indiscriminately with machineguns & mortars, but none hit."
"Shortly, heavy mortars & cannons of our rear artillery group, which had already set coordinates, began to attack the strongholds. Enemy's firepower was suppressed." Image
"9 a.m, our troops began to charge strongholds. 7th company rushed into vicinity of barbed wire, but blocked by IA machine gun fire. Each platoon adopted team tactics to mutual support, alternately launched a charge, pulled recoilless gun & rocket launcher to the front to shoot." Image
"Enemies encountered this time were quite tenacious,& no such phenomenon as the former enemies' quick collapse."
"Shaitan Singh, enemy commander, led 14 infantries to carry out mobile operations in order to prevent us from cutting off contact between No.8 9 strongholds." Image
"Infantry squad led by Major Singh had not gone far when they encountered the charge of Class 6, Company 9, 10th Reg."
"Enemy commander shouted rushed in front with a bayonet & was shot by Class 6 with 56-type rifles.
two Jawans tried to save him were also killed at sametime." Image
"12 enemies rushed into the battle formation of Class 6, then began a bayonets fighting."
"11 enemies were stabbed death & one was injured and captured." Image
"After 45 min of fierce fighting, 7th company took out 25 bunkers in front of the enemy stronghold. A total of 141 enemies were annihilated (136 killed and 5 captured), battle basically ended."
"Our army casualty is 119, 21 died & 98 wounded". Image
"The battle started at 7:30 am on Nov 18 & ended at 9:10 am, which lasted abt 1h 40m."
"In this battle, the casualty ratio between us & enemy reached 0.84 : 1, far higher than other battles in 1962 self-defence war." Image
"After destroyed strongholds No.8 & 9, we rummaged through ID card in the killed major company commander's pocket, only to know he was called 'Shaitan Singh'. We didn't care too much about his identity at that time, after all, he is only a major." Image
Pics used should all be from 1962 war, but they should not be from battle of Rezang la. I wonder if there were any photos left in that battle.
It seems I must make such statement, otherwise some psycho fragile idiot will accuse me of being a liar. 👇
This Kumaon photo of the soldier may come from WWII, and I think it is cool. So I use it.
I really can't find a suitable photo of the Kumaon soldier in 1962 war. Image

Recent yrs, Indians suddenly claimed
"A forgotten victory over 🇨🇳 in 1967".
So I feel obliged to talk abt it.
Browse this thread with a simple question
"In past 60 yrs,has IA captured even ONE PLA in BATTLE?
ONE body?
ONE rifle?
or even ONE pic abt these?"
Think it, t let's go on ImageImage
Sep.11th,1967, 110 Jawans from #IA 112th Brigade crossed NathuLa border, then a firefight btwn the two sides.
The clash lasted for just 7 min, 🇮🇳 troops were fled to 🇮🇳 side of border, & left 14 corpses & weapons (as pics show👇).
PLA's caualty is 7 (1 died, 6 injured). ImageImage
"With blazing fire of our 53-type heavy machine gun, 🇮🇳 troops in front of No.1 position was swept away in less than 1 min."
"Cap Dagar, who fired 1st, was covered in holes & be almost chopped into several pieces (his body was wrapped back by IA with blankets after battle)."

This is quite interesting😂
🇫🇷 revolutionary ballet, which skillfully combines “Carmen“ & “The Red Detachment of Women”.
From 1973 French absurd comedy film "Les Chinois à Paris",fantasized PLA's invasion of Europe, 🇫🇷president fled to 🇫🇷, & 🇫🇷's becoming a communist country(1/3)
Historical Background
1968, while🇨🇳's "Cultural Revolution"was still in full wing, 🇫🇷 youths wearing 🇨🇳 style green military uniform, military cap & Mao's badge appeared on streets of Paris, and then there was the famous "May Storm"(2/3)
At that time, revolutionary red culture from 🇨🇳 had a great influence on western youth &society.
In 🇨🇳, 🇫🇷 is nicknamed "Old revolutionary base area".
U can naturally think of what is happening in 🇫🇷 at present
But compared with 🇨🇳, 🇫🇷 ppl are obviously more lively &humorous(3/3)

The only #ballet in the world dancing with rifles—"The Red Detachment of Women" (1971)
It is based on true story of #RedArmy female soldiers fighting vicious enemies in Hainan Island.
Putting aside politics, it is excellent enough from today's purely artistic point of view.(1/2)
For political reasons, it was banned after end of Mao era.
But in 2022, a new version began to perform in China.
But in my opinion, modern slim actresses are quite out of play, nothing like those real RedArmy female warriors, also failed to show fighting spirit of that era(2/2)
An old photo:
1974, 🇫🇷 President G. Pompidou visited China and watched "The Red Detachment of Women" accompanied by pm ZhouEnlai & comrade JiangQing. Image

🇮🇳Jawans in #PLA veterans's eyes.
Some excerpts from the memories of PLA veterans in #1962war— a long thread.
Section 1. Prewar
1. “Many of them like to keep beards & look more mature than their age, but sometimes they act as naive as 7-year old children.”+ Image
"10 of us patrolled, when passing 🇮🇳 post for 50m, 5 🇮🇳 jawans on opposite suddenly launched a battle form, guns pointed at us, with serious & fierce expressions"
"When we turned to leave, they began to whistle &throw stones at us defiantly & cheer wildly, as if had won a battle" Image
2.
"🇮🇳 soldiers look down upon us, in confrontation at Zerao bridge, their bayonets so close & touched my eyelashes"
"They thought we dare not fight back. In fact, the patience of our comrades at that time had reached the limit, but we could not disobey orders, No shoot-first" Image
