Why is attachment considered negative in spirituality
Attachments cloud your mind, and make meditation, devotion, or service difficult. It is also the major source of fear and greed. #Spirituality#meditation
Being with people and materialism are not negatives if you know the art of remaining detached while playing it all. #Spirituality#meditation
Lord Krishna is the greatest example. He lived among all, was respected and loved both by Kauravas and Pandavas, actively participated in the war, and yet remained detached to the whole of it. #Spirituality#meditation
Do you know that when the war was about to begin, Dharma and Duryodhana approached Krishna for support. Krishna told them that He will be on one side and His army on the other, and they had to choose. #Spirituality#meditation
As usual, the dull Duryodhana chose Krishna’s army, and Dharma chose Krishna, and we know the rest of it. #Spirituality#meditation
Krishna remained on one side and helped Arjuna fight against Krishna’s own army. Have you ever heard of such Spiritual sophistry ? Or such level of detachment while playing the role of life ?
Attachment deludes and drains, and the soul is lost in layers and layers of illusions, vasanas, and karmic compulsions that it becomes too dull for any spiritual awakening.
Detachment does not mean that you must run away. It means that you must live among people wisely and smartly.
Serve others, or be served according to your prarabdha. But never cooperate to be entangled. It doesn't matter whatever kind of life you live. #Spirituality#meditation
I am reminded of the following Thirukkural by the great Sage Thiruvalluvar-
Get attached to the One who is attached with nothing (God). Hold on to that attachment so you can be relieved from all other attachments. #Spirituality#meditation
As a step further, I am reminded of the hymn called Thirumanthiram by an ancient Siddha called Thirumular. It was said that He lived for 3000 years, and wrote one hymn every year. That’s how deep, intense and Blessed His realised words are! #Spirituality#meditation
Asai Arumin… Asai Arumin
Isanodayinum Asai Arumin
Cut the desire… cut the desire!
Even if it is with Lord Shiva, cut the desire!
(I had translated as much as I understood. Forgive me if I didn't justify these great Divine hymns) #Spirituality#meditation
The great Sage instructs us to cut off desires & attachments even if it is with Shiva. Everywhere He asks us to surrender to Shiva, and be one with Him. Still, to show us the dangers of attachments and desires, He had warned us with the above hymn. #Spirituality#meditation
The idea is to love all, and to do our duties, and yet remain unentangled. Just the way Krishna was! Just the way our realised Sages are! This is good for both Spiritual and mundane life.
Also because He is the destroyer of the devatas, as per a Smrti shloka quoted by Svaami Vijayeendra Teertha Shripaadagalu, in Shaiva-Sarvasva Khandanam of Nyaayamauktikamaala.

ब्रह्माणमिंद्रं रुद्रं च यमं वरुणमेव च ॥ ८६ ॥
निगृह्य हरते यस्मात्तस्माद्धरिरहोच्यते ।
Being the destroyer who destroys Brahmaa, Indra, Rudra, Yama & Varuna, he is known as ‘Hari’.
Shukracharya: A great knowledgeable person who was respected even by Devas and Saints. He was an expert in Political Science. He founded the Shukra Niti. In his niti he has laid down the following points:

One should never reveal certain things in front of others.
It’s great if you are loved and respected by all, but don’t show it off in front of others- doing so will lower your respect in the eyes of others
#SanatanaDharma #hinduism https://t.co/2pRf0avyqJtwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
If you have to face insult at any point in your life, it’s best to keep it to yourself; telling that to everyone you know will make you feel insulted in front of others as well.

Tantra is an abstract religion, it doesn't have a clear definition. Different seekers define it differently, many not even consistent with each other. Tantra, though, is clearly recognized as being very different from the ancient Hindu Vedic tradition. #SanatanaDharma#Hinduismtwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Before trying to delve into tantrism, it is important to understand that this is not a single coherent system. It is rather a tradition that gradually evolved from an accumulation of practices and rituals, in order to attain the grace of the divine. #SanatanaDharma#Hinduismtwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
The practitioner of tantra uses his own prana or divine energy in order to harness it to the universal prana, thereby attaining his goal. The goal in question could be either spiritual, material or both. #SanatanaDharma#Hinduismtwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Tantra in Hinduism could be considered to be parallel to the Hindu Vedic tradition. Tantra contains written records of the Agama, which comes in four main parts, as follows: #SanatanaDharma#Hinduismtwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Jnana or metaphysical knowledge
Yoga or meditative practices
Kriya or ritual practices
Charya or ethical and religious principles of conduct #SanatanaDharma#Hinduism
Most of the staunch Hindu Vedic practitioners, however, consider the Tantras to be anti-Vedic in character and hence, altogether shun both the cult and the practitioners of the same. #SanatanaDharma#Hinduismtwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
The universe consists of a Mahabrahmanda, or grand Cosmos, and of numerous Brihatbrahmanda, or macrocosms evolved from it. As is said by the Nirvana Tantra, all which is in the first is in the second. #spirituality#Cosmostwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
In the latter are heavenly bodies and beings, which are microcosms reflecting on a minor scale the greater worlds which evolve them. "As above, so below." This mystical maxim of the West is stated in the Vishvasara Tantra as follows: #spirituality#Cosmostwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
