Excellent work privatizing retail food services at The Stollery, #AHS. I mean it’s perfectly okay that we can’t get actual meals here anymore when we attend for Kikki Jr’s monthly treatments.

It’s not only staff who rely on food services. It’s families who have no other options when we are here all day for treatment. Can’t leave hospital, can’t find decent food options to eat here, can’t bring our own food in.

Added bonus: the “snack bar” doesn’t open until 10:30 am, no longer serves breakfast. The healthier options have disappeared. In a HOSPITAL.

This isn’t “good fiscal management”. This is screwing over frontline HC workers, patients & families all for the almighty $.

Seriously. Just put in a goddamn McDonald’s, at this point. Go full Walmart. Why not? At least then we’d get a cheap, edible breakfast. Which would be an improvement on what is being offered now.

My kid is sick for the third time since returning to school in September.

First, they contracted COVID. Almost 3 wks to recover. Then, RSV. Another two weeks at home.

Now, they’ve contracted strep. So, I’m just asking … 1/
At what point do I have the legal right to tell this government I will no longer send my kid into the proverbial Lion’s Den to satisfy the COVID denialists?At what point do I have the legal right to protect my child’s health, first. 2/
And at what point do we as parents get to hold this gov’t responsible for the real, physical harm they are doing to our kids?

At what goddamn point? Cuz I’m there, people. I am there.

I’ve been screaming about this for days. I’ve shared the charts multiple times. I even showed how Hinshaw is hiding data about school spread by lumping age groups together.

We. Must. Close. Schools. Now. They are using kids for herd immunity. It’s going to FAIL. #ableg #yeg
Look at these charts. Look at how the spread in the 5 to 11 age group is almost OFF the chart.

This didn’t happen overnight. It took weeks. Kenney knew about this. Hinshaw knew about this.

They did NOTHING to protect our children. Understand that. NOTHING. #ableg #cdnpoli
Not only are they risking the lives of our children to achieve “natural herd immunity” - which we will never achieve - they are risking our kids being afflicted with long-COVID for a lifetime.

Death isn’t the only metric we should be focused on! #ableg

Thread about charts/graphs/deceit :

This is why I asked about Hinshaw’s hospitalizations charts that lump 12 to 29 all in one age group, while every other vax eligible age group is in 9 year increments. They are still trying to hide what this wave is doing to kids. 1/ #ableg
Don’t believe me? Here’s the chart I called on Hinshaw to answer for. Note the “12 to 29” age group. There is no way to discern from this graph how many vax eligible 12 to 18 yo’s have been hospitalized. And if you ask me, that’s on purpose. They are hiding those stats. #ableg 2/
But wait - it gets worse. By presenting charts that looks at hospitalizations/spread over a 120 day period, Hinshaw is making it look “not that bad” for kids who can’t get vaxxed. But when we look at what’s really happening to kids, it’s bloody awful. #ableg 3/

- the Premier has been on vacation (rumoured to be in Europe) and has not been seen in public since August 9th. “Missing” posters have popped up all over the province. 1/ #ableg #cdnpoli

CMOH Dr Deena Hinshaw manages to update us via Twitter, but has not given an actual live update in weeks, & no live updates/media availability are on the horizon. There is no Deputy Premier stepping in to fill the gaps, & no one in gov’t knows who is in charge 3/

The worst of this 💩 with women Olympic athletes being forced to compete with nothing but dental floss covering their asses or get fined is this:

When it’s a sport predominantly watched by old white ladies (figuring skating), the ISU will demand “modesty” in costuming … 1/
After all, the ISU literally changed the rules after Katerina Witt’s blue leather & feathers costume caused the old white ladies to clutch their pearls in 1988. It was even dubbed “the Katerina rule”, & was focused on keeping her amazing ass covered. 2/
And it’s not just the Olympics. Serena Williams catsuit was banned from tennis competition. Google “Flo Jo” and the first suggestion will be her nails, not her win record.

Even when we are at the top of our game, we are reduced to what we wear, how we look. 3/
