1/ Circle is launching USDC natively on @arbitrum on June 8th!
Keep scrolling or read the blog to learn more about this launch and how to migrate liquidity from “bridged USDC” to native USDC. medium.com/@arbitrumfound…
2/ USDC issued by Circle will be native to Arbitrum and will be considered the official version of USDC for the Arbitrum ecosystem. Over time, native USDC liquidity will grow and replace the currently circulating “bridged USDC” liquidity that comes from Ethereum.
3/ Benefits of Native USDC
✅Fully reserved and always redeemable 1:1 for US dollars
✅Enables institutional on/off-ramps via Circle and other partners
✅Upcoming support by #CCTP to eliminate bridge withdrawal delays
4/ What you need to know
Ahead of the launch of native USDC on June 8th, the Ethereum-bridged version of USDC on block explorers will be renamed as “USDC.e”. There will also be outreach to ecosystem apps to make the same change in their app UI and documentation.
7/ Arbitrum Foundation will be working with ecosystem apps to provide a smooth transition of liquidity from bridged USDC to native USDC over time. There will be no immediate changes to the Arbitrum Bridge & it will continue to operate normally for bridging USDC to-&-from Ethereum
8/ Circle expects to bring Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol #CCTP to Arbitrum after the launch of native USDC. Upon integration into the Arbitrum Bridge, this will enable USDC to move natively to-and-from Ethereum (and other supported chains) in minutes – no more withdrawal delays.
9/ Stay tuned for June 8th
We’re very excited about what native USDC means for the Arbitrum ecosystem! Please reach out on the Arbitrum Discord in the ‘usdc-circle-support’ channel if you have any questions. discord.gg/uBfTvvjBG4

2/ #CCTP removes the need to bridge $USDC via traditional lock-and-mint approaches, improves liquidity across the blockchain ecosystem, and enables developers to provide their users a seamless and secure experience moving USDC natively across chains. circle.com/en/pressroom/c…
3/ We are thrilled to have such a strong community of partners already integrating #CCTP into their products:
1/Dev Docs for Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol are officially here 🔥
#CCTP eliminates the need for conventional "lock-and-mint" bridges that fragment liquidity & allows devs to provide users a more capital efficient way to transfer $USDC
So how does it work? 👇
2/ Burn $USDC on the source chain:
User initiates transfer of #USDC through an app from one chain to another, and specifies the recipient wallet address on the destination chain. The app facilitates a burn of USDC on the source chain.
3/ Fetch attestation from Circle:
Circle observes and attests to the burn event on the source chain. The app requests a signed attestation from Circle, which provides authorization to mint the specified amount of #USDC on the destination chain.
1/ Announcement alert at #ConvergeSF22 🚨We are excited to share the news around Circle’s all-new Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol to support USDC interoperability for developers & their users 🙌
2/ Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol is permissionless and enables USDC to be sent natively across ecosystems, improving liquidity and reducing fragmentation of bridged assets 💪
3/ Developers building wallets, bridges, payments apps, financial services tools & more will be able to deliver simple, cross-chain USDC transactions – simplifying the user experience and maximizing capital efficiency 👏
2/ The addition of USDC in these ecosystems makes it even easier for developers to build new apps for users to send, spend, and exchange money around the globe.
3/ Upon launch, developers will be able to use Circle APIs for fiat on/off-ramps to and from USDC in their products, as well as programmable wallets infrastructure.
2/ On the Inclusion track, hear from high-profile speakers like @ChrisBrummerDr of @GeorgetownLaw and Professor @rogercaruth, J.D., Ph.D. of @HowardU on the essential task of catalyzing digital financial literacy around the world
1/ Introducing Verite, an open-source framework for decentralized identity. 🧵👇hubs.li/Q014mQgy0
2/ The Problem
Participating in #DeFi is a challenge for institutions and other entities who need to ensure they’re transacting with counterparties they can trust.
3/ The Solution
Verite is a set of composable identity standards that enables #Web3 developers to create portable, privacy-preserving credentials for KYC, credit scoring, accreditation and more.
