When the US Congress recognized the so-called #ArmenianGenocide allegations in 2019, Congress made references to a number of names and institutions such as Morgenthau, Lansing, Wilson, Lempkin, Hitler, Reagan  and Near East Relief. Except, General James Guthrie Harbord. 1/
Otherwise, Congress would have to explain the absurd inconsistency btw the allegation of  “the killing of 1.5 million Armenians by the Ottoman Empire from 1915 to 1923” and Harbord’s report where he made it clear in 1919..

Selahattin Ülkümen, Turkish consul in Rhodes, Greece in July 1944 when Germans began deporting 1,700 Jews, incl Turkish citizens. Ülkümen stood up to the Gestapo, stating: "Under Turkish law all citizens were equal. We didn't differentiate btw citizens” and saved dozens of lives.
