Our influenza A assay picks up H5N1, which is an influenza A virus, but does not distinguish between the different subtypes of influenza A (e.g. H5N1 vs H1N1).

A benefit of sequencing SARS-CoV-2 in #wastewater is observing how the virus changes. Our data shows that a combo of new mutations, called FLip because they involve two L to F amino acid mutations, are increasing in the US. #WBE #populationhealth
These mutations may influence how the virus interacts with the human immune system.
