1. Native mascots have negative psychological effects (e.g., depression, self-esteem, community worth) on Native students 2. If you’re not Native American, Native mascots are associated with negative stereotypes of Native Americans, prejudiced attitudes toward Native Americans, and a tendency to discriminate against Native Americans
