Blaming #Iran’s #COVID19 tragedy “solely” on #US_Sanctions is to overlook the #politicization & #securitization of epidemic in Iran & the politically motivated decisions that led to tragic death toll. It IS possible to condemn #sanctions AND IR’s #incompetence & #deceit (1/5) Sanctions cripple economy AND healthcare; I’ve said repeatedly that not lifting them right now is a crime. But so was Iran’s willful #coverup & mismanagement & politicized refusal to act. Note: PPE &meds shortage is also a distribution issue, helped by State incompetence (2/5)
