A dental thread.
My parents are elderly.
Theyāre on a fixed incomeā¦with a very limited budget. They do their best to live very modestly.
Like many elderly people, their dental health has deteriorated.
1/
#cdnpoli #onpoli #ElderlyDentalHealth
Theyāve both lost a lot of teeth and have resorted to using dentures. For now, theyāre getting by with partials.
But as their dental health continues to deteriorate, the costs are mounting, and tough decisions need to be made.

An education š§µā¦
Yesterday, I tweeted about a joke / prank that I played on my Gr. 10 history class. Based on some responses I got, I feel the need to clarify a few things, lest some misconceptions fester into fact.

A rant/thread.
Bear with meā¦please.
Iām absolutely gobsmacked by what Iāve been seeing and hearingā¦especially these last few weeks. People who I would normally consider sane, educated, stable, well-informed, community minded, are now peddling blatant disinformation.

An education thread.
This past week, as a āstart-to-the-day-reflectionā, I shared one of those āIf the World Was A Village of 100 Peopleā type videos with my class.
Iāve seen them before. But the stats are always sobering.
Eg.
15% are illiterate.
13% have no clean water.
20% donāt have electricity. 25% donāt have adequate shelter.
75% donāt have internet access.
90% canāt access post secondary education.
A staggering 70% are malnourished.
1% are starving...a āsmallā number, but that translates to 75 million people.
What does it all mean?
