The Doctors’ Association UK were saddened to read a series of tweets sent by Allison Pearson yesterday.
Over the last year The DAUK have frequently spoken of the GP crisis resulting from chronic underfunding and a decimated workforce. But instead of focusing on these issues.. 1/
Ms Pearson chose to detract from her abusive comments about GPs and instead shared anecdotes of tragedies that have occurred as a result of the crisis we describe.

We are over 6000 frontline doctors who are pleading with @BorisJohnson to intervene to ensure all NHS staff adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) when facing the Covid-19 pandemic.

Frontline doctors have been telling us for weeks that they do not feel safe at work. ICU doctors have told us have been carrying out the highest-risk procedure, putting a patient on a ventilator, with masks that expired in 2015 or even holes in.
