During the presidential debate yesterday @realDonaldTrump made a false claim about the price of insulin. He said “I’m getting it for so cheap, it’s like water.” I think millions of people living with diabetes in the U.S would disagree. #diabetes #type1diabetes If that were true, there would be no need for people to ration insulin, no need to advocate for affordable insulin, no one needlessly dying because they couldn’t afford their diabetes medication. Here is what it would be like if water was the same price as insulin ($300 for 10ml)

On the 29th July 2019, Bernie Sanders went to Canada with diabetics to buy cheap insulin. There is an insulin affordability crisis happening right now in the U.S. Those living with Type 1 Diabetes CANNOT live without insulin. It is NOT an optional medication.
