(Will grow as the hearings occur)

OSHA enacted a Healthcare Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) on June 21, 2021, but this standard fails to make provisions for the fact that #COVIDisAirborne. /1

osha.gov/laws-regs/regu… The Healthcare ETS only mandates respirators (N95 or better) in certain circumstances & allows facilities to have workers with active symptomatic Covid infections working. It refers employers to this CDC page. /2

1) Antivaxxers keep pointing to VAERS reports as proof that the vaccines are dangerous.

vice.com/en/article/qjp… 2) This assertion shows they fail to understand how VAERS actually works. VAERS accepts anecdotal reports from literally anyone. There are even antivax groups who encourage people to submit misleading reports.

It’s time to cancel your AT&T internet, television, & cellular plans as well as cutting loose other companies owned by AT&T.

I’m despise Fox News, but OAN & NewsMax make Fox look harmless in comparison. /1 Remember, AT&T largely funds OAN.
“According to an AT&T filing citing Herring’s numbers, those fees would total about $57 million. Greer said that figure is inaccurate, but declined to say how much AT&T has paid to air OAN, citing a non-disclosure.” /2

To help you understand why refusing insurance coverage for unvaccinated people isn’t a solution.

It would devastate the healthcare system.

Continue reading to understand why. /1 EMTALA laws require hospitals to treat EMC (emergency medical conditions). That care must be continued until EMC has resolved or stabilized enough for the pt to take care of themselves at home. Hospitals cannot absorb that cost. /2

Think the vaccine will end our #COVID19 problems soon?

Think again.

Pfizer will produce 50 million doses this year. 1/2 of those may go to the US. Each person needs 2 doses, so 12.5 million of us get vaccinated with Pfizer vaccine . /1

pfizer.com/news/press-rel… Moderna says they will have 20 million doses this year for US. Again, 2 doses each. That’s another 10 million.

That means maybe 22 million out of 328 million people get vaccinated this year. /2

1st, I’m a progressive.
But come on progressives, are “Medicare For All,” “The Green New Deal,” or “Ending Citizen’s United” the hills you want to die on? If you do, there will be no living to fight another day.

@DemCast We need to defeat tRump if we are going to have a chance to live to fight another day. We cannot afford the luxury of being purists, arguing about whether or not the party will or won’t move completely away from fossil fuels or will or won’t embrace Medicare for all.
