This isn't normal. It's disturbing. โ€œIf you find possible criminal behavior, send it to meโ€ฆโ€ this is politics masquerading as policing. A Sheriff is not supposed to recruit partisan internet vigilantes as evidence scouts.
What a tough guy @Swank4America is. Can't even sack up enough to send his own records request. What? Can't get a warrant Sheriff? No probable cause? What a joke.
A real sheriff doesn't go to social media and ask strangers to go fishing for criminal behavior. He drafts a warrant, subpoenas records, or opens an investigation inside a lawful chain of custody. But then, this isn't about Yambe or records is it?

This is a diversion and it's got everyone saying "what an idiot!"

I will now remind everyone that the Mafias most profitable lines of business are: heroin/cocaine// oil/gas// weapons.

In the last weeks, Trump started talking about a "peace deal" that he also deserved a Nobel
Prize for. That was also a distraction; the "cover" for what he's really been up to.

Cambodia has a small part in cultivating opium, whereas Myanmar (Russia's ally), and Thailand grow a lot more. Cambodia wants to increase their share of the market.

Thailand and Cambodia had
a little war about this. And now Trump is there to make a deal along the likes of:

"Guys, c'mon, this market is big enough for all of us. Me and my Mafia friends can buy a lot more from each of you, but it's got to be a smoothly-run business. We can't have disruptions."

This woman is uniquely 0.01% ambitious and determined

Top tier Ballerina then MIT

But she dedicated herself to.... a Crypto Gambling

A sign of a suffering culture when our brightest use their talents on such things
Crypto Gambling does not produce anything in the real economy

It uses resources while being a fun distraction and activity for users AT BEST

And at worst it destroys the entire lives of a small but significant (because of the damage done to these people and their partners/children etc.) portion of users
In a room of 10,000 random people you'd be unlikely to find someone more capable than her

And she channels that energy into creating a hyper efficient and lucrative scheme

That is a NET NEGATIVE on society

@MartinFeathers2 @visegrad24 That's a shame. But perhaps this poor lad could be helped. I'm told that plastic surgery has reached the point at which male features can be feminized to the point at which some thirsty incels will go "eh, close enough."
@MartinFeathers2 @visegrad24 Our Eritrean friend could be given a sex change operation, made to look as close to feminine as modern Medicine can manage, and then be left n a k e d in a prison shower room. In theory, I mean. Not advocating anything, because that might be a violation of the TOS.

๐Ÿ˜‡
@MartinFeathers2 @visegrad24 He'd then get all of the sex he could ever hope for, and more! Especially if, hypothetically, he were shuttled from prison to prison as the guards pointed and laughed, until he could take no more and died.

From the pleasure of it all, I mean. Totally not from s u i c i d e.

Alright. Finally published it ๐Ÿ‘€

Is This Cycle Over?

1/ Bitcoin reached an all-time high of 126K right around the time the peak of a four-year cycle would predict, and crashed hard after that, all the way down to 103K. The momentum on the price chart has also slowed down considerably and looks like it wants to roll over. Onchain data shows relentless selling from long-term holders and weak demand. Trumpโ€™s trade war also threatens a painful revamp of global trade. All this raises the question for investors: โ€œHas Bitcoin topped already?โ€

In this article, I will be providing my thoughts on this issue after considering and consolidating many data points and viewpoints.

Given the importance of the question we address here, we are publishing this openly for all users on an exceptional basis. If you like our reports, please subscribe (link in my bio) and enjoy several deeply researched reports every single week to stay on top of the market trends.Image
2/ I will organize this write-up into a few points with the aid of this chart.

1- Market internals

The first observation is that Bitcoin really has not had a parabolic run this cycle. In a video on July 28th, I proactively addressed the question of what will end this cycle. A clip from this video is posted here on the Subtack version of the article.Image
3/ The video has a simple thesis: for a major crash, like we have seen after prior cycle tops, we need a parabolic rise first.

As you can see in the price chart above, instead of an explosive run that we are used to seeing from prior cycles, Bitcoin has had three mini bubbles. The first two bubbles, then properly burst. The first one was a leverage release after the ETF approval; more than 7 months of correction fully wiped out leverage. After the next peak, a large correction occurred due to Trump tariffs, ending in a V-Shaped recovery.

Equity markets and gold kept making all-time highs after this and Bitcoin ran with them too and built a health amount of froth. This uninterrupted run-up needed a reason to correct and the renewal of China trade war gave it that reason.Image

The point here is that the first two sentences require a confrontation with & overcoming of racism.
Overlaps with this, I think. If, on a structural level, things are basically ok, the problem is things getting out of hand, a lack of โ€œrestraintโ€, then โ€œboth sidesโ€ may be at fault, moderation is whatโ€™s needed. The thing is things are not ok structurally. x.com/tom_gann/statuโ€ฆ x.com/tom_gann/statuโ€ฆ
There is a point here: we can confront organised protests but what about disorganised, individual racist street violence? Itโ€™s wrong to argue counter-protests inflame the situation (itโ€™s already bad) but there is a genuine problem here that trad anti-fascism canโ€™t deal with.

Catherine Connolly has one major goal as Irish President - to keep the Triple Lock in place. This is how she will attempt to achieve it ๐Ÿงต

The Triple Lock prevents Ireland deploying troops abroad without a UN mandate & effectively prevents Ireland joining NATO.

1/11 Image
There is an assumption that as President, Catherine Connolly must sign off on legislative Bills approved by the government and the Dรกil. When the Irish government bring forward legislation to reform the Triple Lock, Connolly will likely precipitate a constitutional crisis!

2/11 Image
Connolly has only limited legal options. Under Article 26 of the constitution, she may refer a Bill to the Supreme Court to determine whether any part of it is repugnant to the Constitution. This route is unlikely to succeed, only delaying legislation.

Looking forward to reading this piece. Two things: I wrote in 2022 about all of this--what this really was (2 essays below) & both French & Young are ridiculous in their rejoinders. What did you find valid about them? Image

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ชOver the past three years, Georgia has transformed from a fragile democracy into a Russian-aligned kleptocracy.
The ruling party, Georgian Dream (GD), isnโ€™t just authoritarian-itโ€™s financially desperate.
Everything it does now revolves around one thing: cash.
1/18Image
GDโ€™s entire system depends on money flows once controlled by oligarch Bidzina Ivanishvili, who made billions in Russia.
But since 2022, sanctions, asset freezes, and the loss of Western aid have cut the lifelines.
The regime is scrambling to fund itself-and its loyalty network.
2 Image
When the West froze parts of Ivanishviliโ€™s offshore wealth and suspended direct aid, GD pivoted east.
Instead of reforming, it industrialized sanctions evasion, turning Georgia into a logistical back door for Moscowโ€™s war economy.

Sunday Reading: A Constant Torrent of Authoritarian Arrogance, Corruption, Complicity

American politics is an exasperating, frenzied, dangerous mess. Letโ€™s sort through the events of the past week to separate what matters from what does not.

New piece:

democracyamericana.com/posts/fe5acc52โ€ฆ
In this piece: The New York Times did not think the No Kings protests were all that significant โ€“ indicating how much mainstream institutions have bought into the idea that only Trump and his supporters represent โ€œreal Americaโ€ and have a right to have their message amplified.
Ask yourself this: How would the New York Times have covered the protests if it had been seven million MAGA supporters flooding the streets? We donโ€™t even have to guess: We know how they and other mainstream outlets covered the Tea Party protests during Obamaโ€™s first term.
