When the UCP (Jason Kenney) got elected, I was kind 'meh, whatever'. We're a white, straight, young(ish), middle-classed, healthy (for the most part) family. It won't affect us, I told myself.

But then, UCP lowered minimum wage so H trying 2save up for University took a bit of a hit. It's ok we'll have 2 cut spending. Then he cut the STEP program. So H can't go back to the job that she loved and learned so much from. I guess she can try McDonalds or something.

Then they lifted tuition caps. So the money that we have been trying 2 save up for our children's education isn't going to last past the 7%, 14%, 21% increase. Well SHIT. I guess we'll put Zenon's education on the back burner and get H through at least.

Don't get me wrong, Zenon is NOT less than this is just a real world choice we have 2make And as H says, the youth are 'getting ass-violated by the UCP.' then they hit the nurses and doctors Wow. Sorry Zen, you will now get a maximum of 10 min with your doctor per visit

Shit - I can't even cover anything more than a prescription refill in 10 minutes. I wonder if they'll let us book a few back-to-back appointments because Zen's medical stuff is COMPLICATED.

And if he needs a hospital stay, I'd better get my degree in nursing because there already is not enough nurses and now their pay is cut. Well, FUCK. This is getting very difficult. Sorry Zen.

Now were getting Zen ready 4 Grade 10 he's going 2need a LOT of support in the form of specialized teachers & Educational Assistants Nope. Sorry, Kenney has frozen salaries and cut back so classrooms will be bigger & Zen will get even less support. Come the fuck on UCP!!

Now Im getting scared not just frustrated anymore But that's just life and at least I have a job For now Because UCP is swiping away @ social programs like crazy and Im a Social Worker (that already makes a shitty wage because we don't get into Social Work for the money)

There have been ZERO new jobs created for our province and giving away BILLIONS of dollars to oil companies hasn't worked to bring in business. In fact, they are jumping ship right out of Alberta.
