A good read on the recent #FakeNews on @nytimes, that tried to demonize #Iran's main opposition.Truly shameful 2b complicit in suppressing resistance in Iran
“Highly Secretive Iranian Rebels Are Holed Up in Albania. They Gave Us a Tour”- Fake News on MEK ncr-iran.org/en/srs/27450-d…
Here is a good thread that debunks @PatrickKingsley'ss disgusting article in favor of the criminal mullahs ruling #Iran trying to demonize the #MEK the only viable opposition to the religious dictatorship.
#FakeNews @nytimes
@PatrickKingsley @nytimes .@nytimes piece is dubiously written&contains many lies. It refers 2an“initial standoff”in 2003 between #MEK&US forces in #Iraq. This is a lie.Prior to the outbreak ofwar in2003 MEK publicly announced its neutrality.American officials have confirmed,it did not fire a single shot.
@PatrickKingsley @nytimes Here is why:
1)While #MEK provided @nytimes writer(@PatrickKingsley), with a plethora of evidence proving ties between the Iranian regime&the so-called former MEK members (Intelligence Ministry agents-MOIS operatives), all evidence is omitted from the article.
#FakeNews
2)This is while several paragraphs linked to the debunked lies disseminated by MOIS &these operatives are nevertheless featured in the piece. Only a single sentence – the MEK says they are Iranian spies – is written as a rebuttal. So much for @nytimes&it's writer's impartiality.
@nytimes 3)Another reason why Kingsley has served the mullahs' interest in trying to demonize their main opposition, is how he ignored interviews with #Ashraf3 neighbors,but to try to make his point in namecalling the opposition as"shadowy" or"tightly guarded barracks"he writes:
#FakeNews
@nytimes @PatrickKingsley @USAdarFarsi 4) @nytimes dubiously complains that during their late visit, they“saw no more than 200(residents)" &concludes: "others seemed to have been sequestered away-or to have left the group altogether"!This is the same language used by MOIS&hardly matches one of a journalist!
#FakeNews
@nytimes @PatrickKingsley @USAdarFarsi 5)@PatrickKingsley dismissed his meetings&interviews W/#MEK officials&residents as“propaganda sessions.”His article is about #MEK in Albania &as he admits seeing 200 of them &interviewed dozens,why has he dedicated only 38words out of 1,693words quoting them?Part of impartiality?
@nytimes @PatrickKingsley @USAdarFarsi I am astounded that @nytimes, hires writers that use lies, propaganda, namecalling to immorally bash the #Iranian people's just resistance, that is being suppressed for its role in the recent #IranProtests for a #FreeIran2020. Bashing them is complicity in #CrimesAgainstHumanity
