The comprehensive meta-analysis investigated how the use of #technology can enhance learning in secondary school mathematics and science. 92 studies compared learning outcomes of students using digital tools to those of a control group taught without the use of digital tools.

Key Findings: Overall, digital tool use had a positive effect on student learning outcomes, g = 0.65.

Technology-supported #instruction in science and mathematics fosters student learning.

Provision of #teachertraining significantly moderates the overall effectiveness.

Intelligent tutoring systems and simulations show large effects on student learning.

Drill and practice or hypermedia systems have small impact on student learning.

Technology-supported learning positively impacts student #attitudes.
