Today marks the end of my 5th week in #lockdown and this drawing I saw on Instagram (at HowDoYouAdult) is an exact depiction of my current state. So, just a heads-up: today's #SundayReads thread will be short! But as always, great reads about #women #feminism & #Africa. Enjoy!

My favorite: @samirasawlani's piece about her younger sister Kaz, a lovely baby girl with dimples turned health worker, who now works tirelessly to save her #COVID19 patients. I wept the whole time.

Loved @stillSHErises' piece about radical #feminist care in #Africa. Love how she introduces the concepts, a bit of historical background and great activists/ initiatives & still keeps her article enjoyable.

Jessica can you give writing classes?

On @africasacountry, great but chilling piece about the Black Brazilians who are fighting to re-establish the truth about the country's racist history - and the resistance they face from a country that refuses to face its past.

That's it for today! My brain hurts but I promise, it's not from reading these gems (more from fending off outrageous "she asked for it" tweets on Francophone African Twitter). So: enjoy reading these, be safe and take care of yourselves. Sending lots of love!
