1/9 I'm informed via @canadapostcorp that my parcel of summer clothes is stuck in Burnaby #BCpoli since May & I can't expect delivery in #ONpoli until the end of August

When all @canadaposthelps competitors could deliver in 2 weeks, why is the #CDNpoli service taking 3 months?

2/9 You would think that whoever runs @canadapostcorp is deliberately trying to destroy @canadaposthelps so #CDNpoli mail can be privatized

Most corporations, even the govt's #ONpoli Cannabis Store, are now using private carriers so consumers can receive their purchases in 2020!

3/9 Though I appreciate the record volume & need for #COVID19 precautions, @canadapostcorp isn't keeping pace with UPS, Purolator & other #CDNpoli mail services that also have to practice social distancing

Moreover, @canadaposthelps halted home deliveries & competitors didn't

4/9 It's gotten so bad the #ONpoli govt's #LCBO is also discouraging @canadapostcorp as a means of delivery, instead encouraging online patrons to choose local store destinations where company drivers can deposit orders so they don't get lost in the mail #CDNpoli @canadaposthelps

5/9 #Amazon is further scrambling to get its packages back from @canadapostcorp so they can be re-sent using private mail services that will take less than 2-3 months across #CDNpoli

Unfortunately @canadaposthelps has spawned a logistics nightmare for hope of economic recovery

6/9 The cost of this disastrous management at @canadapostcorp will harm #CDNpoli businesses directly, because any that are trying to remain loyal can't charge customers for delivery due to @canadaposthelps unreliability

The public mail service is forcing biz to absorb their fees

7/9 While Jeff Bezos may be able to afford assuming the cost of all @canadapostcorp parcels, small & medium biz is already flirting with #COVID19 related bankruptcy

The bottom line is @canadaposthelps devalued #CDNpoli mail so much that no one can charge shoppers for bad service

8/9 Canadians can totally understand delays surrounding #COVID19, but families can't wait 2-3 months for laundry soap, gloves & masks to arrive in the mail

@canadapostcorp/@canadaposthelps is forcing #CDNpoli to quit isolating & visit stores where they face community spread

9/9 Somebody at @canadapostcorp/@canadaposthelps will have to admit that when provincial govts lose faith in #CDNpoli mail, they're doing something wrong

Same goes for driving businesses into bankruptcy & causing the spread of #COVID19 due to unreliable & unaccountable service
