Max can now live in peace with his partner and continue watching his grandchildren grow. His deportation would have caused a lot of pain, not just for him but for all the people that love him and depend on him.

Max has been living in the U.S. for 40 years and is a father, uncle, and grandfather to many. In 2014, Max’s world was turned upside down when he was put in deportation proceedings. Max was brought to US by his parents at age 12 in 1972.

They came here in search of a better life, and in 1990, Max obtained his permanent resident status.
Due to erroneous legal advice, In 2012 Max pleaded guilty to an offense that subjected him to mandatory deportation.

Now that his immigration case is resolved, he is ready to return to work and continue being a productive member of his community. Max wants to work hard so that he can live a comfortable life with his partner and without fear of being deported.
