For US President Donald Trump, the matter is clear: it is not global warming that is to blame for the devastating fires on the west coast of his country (in his opinion there is no such thing as climate change),

but poor forest management in the regions affected. In order to support this thesis, the head of state made, well, somewhat bizarre comparisons in an interview with several media representatives. In his opinion, the people in #Austria and #Finland basically live in the forest.

These countries even regarded themselves as "forest nations"; the people there lived in "forest cities", according to Trump. In an interview with @FoxNews, which about the "@Independent" summarizes, he made his statements even more precise.

According to this, the Alpine republic would have "trees that are much more explosive" than the US states concerned. "You have trees that ignite more easily," said Trump.

But they would take the "fuel" from the flames by getting rid of what is on the ground (leaves, fallen, dry trees, etc.). These things would otherwise look like "matches". In fact, #Finland, whose forest management Trump has already praised in the past,

has recently been able to prevent serious forest fires, reports the "@Independent". But the weather conditions there are hardly comparable with those in #California & Co. Trump's statements have already become independent on Twitter.

Under hashtags like #forestcities and #explosivetrees, numerous users developed fantastic views of Austria, which is in love with forests.
