The federal government declared the entire Czech Republic a corona risk area on Friday evening. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) published an updated list.
This eliminates the exception for two regions, including the Usti district to Labem on the border with Saxony. The whole of Luxembourg and the state of Tyrol have also been included in the list of risk areas.
A travel warning from the Foreign Office is expected that evening. Travelers from risk areas must be tested for Corona within 48 hours before or after entering the country and must remain in quarantine until the test results.
The classification as a risk area and the subsequent travel warning are issued if the number of new corona infections exceeds the mark of 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days.
The Czech Republic reacted soberly to the designation as a risk area. "Unfortunately, it didn't take long. Germany has just decided to put the two remaining regions on the list of risk areas," wrote Czech Foreign Minister Tomas Petricek on Twitter.

Czech Health Minister Roman Prymula announced restrictions on leisure activities for next week in order to reduce the number of infections.
At the request on Saturday morning from the situation center of the Federal Police in Pirna, it was said that "no increased measures were planned at the border" with the neighboring country. Controls would take place within the usual framework.
The Federal Police appeals to travelers to take responsibility to be tested and to remain in quarantine until the result.
