1/n We were trekking in Ko Valley unknown to most world & true nomadic land left side of Phobrang village. We were given special permission to explore and document this area. I must say this hidden jewel of Ladakh.

And of course, it was an amazing lunch spot too.
A clear day can sunburn you so easy.

3/n Chota La wasn't just a lunch spot but gives one of most amazing views of Yushup Tso (17850 feet) and you are in a different world.

If you see an areal view of this lake it is like a bow. There are stories attached to every lake in this region.

4/n Amazing lunch cooked by our local expert & namkin T, we started descending down, we were shown a camping spot; which was almost 6+ kms away.

We must have walked almost 17 kilometres, on & off at 17650 feet, legs were itching, lungs were looking for more oxygen but from distance, we didn't have any idea where are we heading.

Lake got the name Mokpo Gur Gur from shape of the mountains around it.

Finally, my fear won and I decided to hike to the new alpine lake Ororotse Tso. Ororotse Tso is the only lake you find on google maps.

While walking we found one more proof of a furry friend around chasing marmots and that friend was a bear.

Kotsamat Tso is the origin of the river too, a name I don’t know, but I realised that that’s a significant source of water to the Pangong Tso

And I must say Sko Valley, Ladakh is heaven in every term
