Saturday was quiet, reflected in #Ukraine's daily update on #Russia's war losses

Very little equipment destroyed, but still another 650 Russian troops fertilising the ground. This could be inflated by soldiers who failed to make it across the Dnipro river in the #Kherson retreat

After more than an hour and a half, the air raid warning has been lifted for most of #Ukraine. Not a great start to Sunday morning, many still without electricity too.

I wrote yesterday evening about explosions reported in #Chaplynka in southern #Kherson region.

Later video uploaded from the town seems to show #Ukraine's forces managed to hit an ammo dump.

It's also being claimed, but without photo evidence, that #Ukraine has hit a base of #Russia's soldiers near #NovaKakhovka in #Kherson region.

There were explosions in this area last night and it's reported up to 500 invaders may have been hit in #Dnipryany next to the river.

#Ukraine claims "two trucks of killed Russian invaders were taken to Tavriysk. 56 seriously injured were taken to hospital, of which 16 more died soon after."

This footage has just been posted, showing a Russian jet being hit. I cannot verify if it is new or recent, but it may well be.

The video was said to be shot near #Bakhmut.

Russian soldiers gang raped a 12 year old girl in #Ukraine.

That's the claim as #Ukraine's Intelligence releases what it says is an intercepted phone call from the invaders.

Reports coming in of a (near) riot among newly mobilised soldiers at the well known "Park Patriot" west of #Moscow in #Russia.

The forcibly conscripted know they're heading to the frontline and angrily complained at lack of training.

There's a lot written today about a Russian soldier whose head was smashed in by a sledgehammer.

He was a POW & says he was attacked on the streets of Kyiv after saying he wanted to fight FOR #Ukraine

He was part of a prisoner exchange with #Wagner:

However, a number of questionable aspects:
It's inconceivable #Ukraine would release such a badly injured prisoner.
Indeed, #Ruyssia's #Wagner group virtually admits the execution and further introduces a new term "Cargo 800" - they break the legs of retreaters.

If #Ukraine hit #Russia's gear at #Chaplynka airfield as I suspect, it's not surprising they want to avoid another #Chornobaivka. Let's hope not just equipment stays away.

You may have heard about an explosion in #Istanbul, where a suspected suicide bomber has killed 11 people.

The incident happened on Istiklal Avenue in the historic Beyoglu district of #Turkiye's biggest city.
Worth pointing out that #Russia's Consulate is on this street.

#Russia says it foiled an attempted landing by #Ukraine's armed forces on the Kinburn Spit, the far western tip of the south bank of the Dnipro.

The Kremlin claims up to 20 members of Ukraine's 73rd Marine Special Operations were killed near the village of Pokrovskoe.

Power cuts in part of #Kursk region of #Russia today after shelling.

Locals report 7 rockets hitting the border village of Krasnooktyabrsky in the #Glushkovsky District.

However, in complete contrast to the previous report, #Ukraine says it successfully landed troops on the spit yesterday.

This evening they report they've liberated the strip of land up to the village of #Heroiske

Arson is a possible reason for this fire near St Petersburg according to investigators.

This church (Veniamin's) in the village of #Yanino is only 10 years old.

Earlier it was feared the dome may collapse but the blaze was extinguished before that happened.

They haven't done yet, but if things get really tough for #Ukraine, the Babushki division is ready to liberate the rest of the country.

Multiple loud explosions reported in #Luhansk. At least five according to local posts.

Of course authorities say air defence worked perfectly.
There is evidence of success in the sky, but from the reports of the loud decibels, it seems likely at least one rocket landed.

Already suspicion of a mass grave in liberated #Kherson

It's at the city's cemetery, but mass burials look to have taken place. Some of the graves have dates from the first two weeks of the invasion.
It's unknown how many people were buried there.
