The Noble House of Eorl ruled over Rohan (#Calenardhon). These lands were given by 12th #Steward of #Gondor-#Cirion to Eorl who went on to establish the Noble House of Eorl. Eorl descended from the Lords of #Éothéod who themselves descended from the Royal House of #Rhovanion.

The Northmen were akin to the House of Hador. The men from House of #Hador crossed Ered Luin & ancestors of #Eärendil and #Elwing were from this house. The Northmen did not cross Ered Luin & stayed behind in Rhovanion and also did not participate in the War of Wrath.

Not much about the doings of Northmen is known during SA except that in early second age there was an Alliance of Dwarves and Men. The #Dwarves traded weapons in exchange for goods & services from the #Northmen.

In TA-1250 19th King of Gondor - Rómendacil II sent his son Prince Valacar as an ambassador to the court of Vidugavia who was King of Rhovanion. During his stay in Rhovanion Prince Valacar married Princess Vidumavi d/o of King Vidugavia & in 1255 Prince Eldacar is born to them

#Eldacar succeeded his father as 21st King. Revolts and rebellions started in Gondor due to mixed ancestry of #Eldacar which ultimately resulted in Kin-strife & death of many Gondorians. Many in Gondor did not like the Noble blood of #Númenor mixing with the lesser men.

#Castamir usurper & ruled Gondor for 10 years. Eldacar fled to #Rhovanion where he waited for his chance. With the help of his kin from Rhovanion and some #Dúnedain of Northern #Gondor Eldacar reclaimed the Throne and he personally killed Castamir the usurper in 1447.

Little about Northmen is known b/w 15th & 19th centuries. In year 1856 Battle of the Plains takes place in which King #Narmacil of Gondor & Marhari – Lord of the Northmen pass away. Marhari was a descendant of King Vidugavia and his son Marhwini became 1st Lord of the Éothéod

During the time of #Earnil II who was Penultimate King of Gondor, Éothéod joined the forces of Gondor in the Battle of #Fornost. In year 2000 5th Lord of #Éothéod #Fram killed dragon #Scatha and claims the dragon’s hoard for himself because of which Fram was killed by Dwarves

In year 2501 #Léod who may have been the 22nd Lord of the Éothéod died after falling from a horse and thus his son Eorl became the next Lord at age 16 which earned him the title of #Eorl The Young.

In year 2510 As Gondor was being attacked by Orcs and #Easterlings, 12th Ruling Steward of Gondor Cirion sent 6 riders to seek for aid from Northmen.Éothéod answered the call of aid and joined the Gondorian forces in the Battle of Celebrant and the enemy was defeated.

After the Battle #Eorl and #Cirion swore an Oath famously remembered as the Oath of Eorl the Young and Steward Cirion in which it was decided that lands of #Calenardhon will be given to the #Éothéod.

Following the Oath Eorl The Young became 1st King of Rohan, He also built Edoras – Capital of Rohan. In year 2569 Golden Hall of #Meduseld was completed by 2nd King of Rohan – Brego. Unfortunately his son Baldor treaded the Paths of the Dead and never returned.

in 2750's Princes Haleth and Hama, heirs to the throne of Rohan died in battle & their father Helm Hammerhand also passed away during the Long winter. With the deaths of 9th King of Rohan the 1st line of Kings dies out. The next line of Kings come from a female branch

#Fréaláf, nephew of Helm Hammerhand became 10th King of #Rohan. Upon his coronation Fréaláf advised #Steward #Beren to give #Isengard to Wizard #Saruman on the condition that Saruman protects it from the #Dunlendings. Thus Saruman starts to dwell in #Orthanc.

Fréaláf was followed by 5 more kings from his line when in year 2885 Folcwine sent many men including his sons Princes Folcred and Fastred to aid Gondor against war with #Haradrim. Both Princes die in this battle. Thus Fengel became King following the death of King Folcwine.

Prince Thengel son of King Folwine moved to Gondor because of disagreements with his father & married Mowen Steelsheen from the House of Dol Amroth in year 2943. #Thengel became 16th King in year 2953 and returned to Rohan again.#Aragorn II entered into the service of Thengel

In year 2980 King Thengel passed away and thus #Théoden became King. In year 3002 Théodwyn, sister of King Théoden dies of grief after her husband #Éomund is killed in battle & Théoden adopts the children of #Théodwyn. ~ 3014 Théoden starts to lose control of ruling Rohan.

When the Fellowship of the Ring was Near Parth Galen after crossing the Argonath, At that moment Prince #Théodred, heir to the throne of Rohan was slain during the First Battle of the Fords of #Isen. Five days later #Éomer - Kings Nephew meets #Aragorn, #Legolas and #Gimli.

#Aragorn meets #Gandalf the next day in Fangorn and they set out for Rohan where Gandalf healed Théoden. Théoden rides to battle Saruman’s army but hearing the defeat of Rohirrim at the Second Battle of the Fords of Isen they retreat to Helm's Deep

Théoden decided to seek refuge in Helm’s Deep setting the stage for Battle of Hornburg. This battle was a victory for Rohan only after Gandalf came with #Erkenbrand and 1000 men from the #Westfold.

As the armies from Mordor were assembling in #Pelennor Fields, 26th Ruling Steward of Gondor-#Denethor II sends a Red Arrow through a Gondorian named Hirgon and asks for aid from Rohan. #Théoden answered this call of aid from Gondor and 6000 Éothéod rode out for Gondor.

Battle of Pelennor Field-King Théoden is slain by the Witch King, ending the 2nd line of Kings of Rohan. Théoden’s niece Éowyn kills the Witch King with the help of Hobbit Meriadoc, #Éowyn was presumed dead until Imrahil recognised life in her & sent her to Houses of Healing

Following the fall of King #Théoden, his nephew #Éomer succeeds him from 3rd line and joins the last debate with #Aragorn where it was decided that they will ride out to #Mordor so that #Sauron is distracted and #Frodo gets a chance to destroy the one Ring.

Éomer accompanied Aragorn to Mordor along with Gandalf & Prince Imrahil & he fought alongside Aragorn until the one Ring was destroyed by Frodo. Éomer later joined the celebrations at Field of Cormallen & he renewed the Oath of Eorl with Aragorn.

Two years later in 3021 #Éomer married #Lothíriel daughter of Prince #Imrahil of #Dol #Amroth. Later in Fourth age Éomer served in the council of Gondor for King Elessar and assisted in defeating remainder of the #Orc and #Easterling forces still lingering in middle earth.

Meanwhile Éowyn married #Faramir and they Settled in #Ithilien where Faramir was made Prince of Ithilien and Lord of Emyn Arnen. Both #Éowyn and #Éomer sent gifts to #Meriadoc #Brandybuck when he was made the Master of the #Buckland in year 11 of fourth age.

In year 63 of Fourth Age, Feeling that his time is near, #Éomer wrote to his old friend #Meriadoc #Brandybuck to visit him one last time, Both #Merry and #Pippin visit #Rohan and Éomer passed away in their company. Éomer was succeeded by his son #Elfwine the Fair.

In Ithilien Faramir passed away in year 82 of fourth age and was succeeded by his son #Elboron who is not just a descendant of the House of #Hurin but also a descendant of the House of #Eorl through his mother and also from the House of Dol #Amroth through both his Parents.

Is Aragorn II related to #Éowyn?
Yes, #Aragorn II & Éowyn are related but very distantly.
In fact Éowyn is more closely related to her husband #Faramir than with Aragorn.
