PMB: A PHENOMENON!
-President M. Buhari was personally hurt when he was informed that former President Goodluck Jonathan refused to provide portable water for his people in Otuoke, Bayelsa State.

The president did not only earmark the sum of N5.8 billion for this project but also ensured that it was completed in the second year of his presidency, in 2016.

-When President Buhari was told that Yenagoa-Otuoke Expressway is impassable, a death-trap and that residents of the area are experiencing untold hardship plying the road, despite d fact that a native of the area was president for abot six years. Immediately, he swung into action

Today; the construction of that road is ongoing and work has reached advance stage.

The President was utterly dismayed when he opened the books and learnt that former President Goodluck Ebelemi Jonathan refused to implement the United Nations (UN) Report recommending large scale remediation of the Ogoni enviroment.

Today, the President have launched the Ogoni clean-up project and have restated his administration's willingness to resolve all enviromental problems in the area.

-Several projects have carpeted the landscape of the South western region, among them are: Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Oyo-Ogbomosho highway, Lagos-Otta-Abeokuta road and so on. These projects were not achieved when a son of the area was in power

In the third year of his first tenure as a democratic president, President Buhari have always had the thought on how to remedy the injustice metted out to late Chief M.K.O Abiola, the acclaimed winner of 1993 presidential election.

And finally on June 12, 2018, " come finally comes to become" (apologies to Chief K.O Mbadiwe). President Buhari did not only affirm Abiola's victory at the poll, but also garlanded him with the highest national award

in the land and insisted that he should be recongnized as the duly elected president of the country whose mandate was not allowed to see the light of the day

This particular feat was not achieved when a son of the area was the president. Despite the fact that the said former president rode on the heels of M.K.O Abiola to become the president of Nigeria in 1999, in order to assuage the Yorubas,

yet he used that opportunity to whip his tribesmen such as the likes of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Gani Fawehimi, Chief Bakare of the Oluwalogbon Motors, Mike Adenuga etc.

Infact, that former leader found a way to make sure that all the governors of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) extraction lost their second term bid in 2003.

-Just last month, President Buhari through the Ministers of Information and Water Resources, commissioned several water supply projects for Sebke, Dutsi and Meashi communities in Katsina state; projects started in 1998

but was abandoned by subsequent administrations including that of his kinsman; Alhaji Musa Yar'Adua.

-Even in the South East, where the clamour to hate the president unjustly and without concrete reason is strident, the region that gave the President votes of about 180,000, less than that what some local councils gave in other parts of the country

Yet, as God will have it, Buhari coasted to the presidency. To make matters worse, after the East refused to learn from their past mistakes and later began to scream marginalization. Self-afflicted injury.

They refused to understand that Nigeria is configured in a way that the person who builds the largest coalition is the one who can emerge the President. The Igbos should naturally produce the President one day, that is what fairness demands

But how would that happen, if they continued to play poor politics. "If you continue to swim in small pools, you stand the risk of being submerged in bigger waters

Ndigbo should try as much as possible to extend the hands of fellowship to other regions and shun hatred and anger on others. But have the President treated the southeasterners the same way they treated him?

Don't think so! If overriding sentiment had prevailed, then the president would not have allowed several federal projects to adorn the landscape of the south east. What a heart!

makers and those who distorts facts that the
East does not like PMB niether do PMB like the
East.

Under the presidency of President M.
Buhari, several roads such as the following are
undergoing rapid construction. They are:
-Onitsha-Awka-Enugu Expressway
-Enugu -Portharcourt Dual Carriage way.

Rehabilitation of Okija bridge Junction leading to Umuahia-
Amappatu-Uli Egbuoma
-Construction of
Umuerogha-Umuelema Nbubo Road
-The second Niger Bridge construction which
presently stands at 44.6% completion,

despite
being on the drawing board for several years
by previous governments of Obasanjo, late
Yaradua and Jonathan.

Even in November 2017, the President's party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) lost an election in the East. We must recall that in the history of Nigeria; a president once told us that the coming polls would be do or die. Not with President Buhari.

Fair is fair. No foul play. No wonder, in the week after the guber poll, Governor Willie Obiano came to the Council of States meeting and publicly registered his appreciation to President Buhari.

With do or die apostles, and a certain political party in power, such would never had happened.
Truly, President Buhari is a man of the people and Nigerians are set to appreciate him in 2019 election. They did it before, they'll do it again!
