Scott Pruitt will be leaving public service to pursue opportunities to be flagrantly corrupt in the private sector.

I tried to think of a joke but couldn’t come up with one, sorry.
Trying to decide which would disturb conservatives more:

Scott Pruitt facing legal consequences for using his office for personal enrichment, or a single mother’s 2nd grader getting a free school lunch.
Which would be more horrifying to conservatives: the George W. Bush administration having to answer for sending us to a bloody war on the lies they architected, or a migrant farm worker receiving needed healthcare?
This week, we can watch Jim Jordan dance, only the latest warrior for a pragmatic and merciless personal accountability, confused at any challenge to his bedrock assumption that accountability is for other people, not for him, not for his friends.

The President of the United States has spent his entire public life, which is now in its 5th decade, habitually and repeatedly making provably untrue statements.

That fact is so important that it should accompany any mention of him in news media.
Yes, all or at least most other politicians have lied. I don't think we've ever had a president whose entire public life has been defined not just by specific lies, but by lying.

Lying as strategy.

Lying as lifestyle.

Lying for the sake of lying.

It's relevant.
There should be no mention of his name without the accompanying context.

"Donald Trump (who has told proveable untruths his entire life, and repeats them after they're proved false), addressed the nation today."

Absent the parenthetical, the whole story isn't told.

I’m in San Diego. Going into court to watch Trump administration and @ACLU meet a day after the reunification deadline.

DHS says all “eligible” parents and children are reunified but 711 kids of 2,551 were “ineligible.”

DHS didn’t commit to reuniting any of that group in US.
I’m out of court.

Judge said next step must be finding 431 “missing parents” already deported and 52 released into the US.

He‘ll soon issue an order on that and a ruling on potential 7-day stay on deportations for 1,000 (!) reunited families with executable removal orders.
The @ACLU also said in court the judge should block deportations of 120 parents who may have mistakenly waived reunification, calling it "torturous to have a parent thinking" they gave away their child in error.

I’m starting a thread to document things I find in the FISA warrants that were just released. These will be in the form of observations I make as I work my way through it. First of all, the 412 pages includes all four warrants and the associated documentation.
Secondly, the first thing that stands out to me is that the FBI perjured themselves in the application for the warrant. Why do I say this? Because it includes this.

1) The EPA administrator is effectively a member of the president's cabinet. Yet team Pruitt did not tell beat reporters who cover him in advance that he was traveling to northern Africa.
