That fact is so important that it should accompany any mention of him in news media.
Lying as strategy.
Lying as lifestyle.
Lying for the sake of lying.
It's relevant.
"Donald Trump (who has told proveable untruths his entire life, and repeats them after they're proved false), addressed the nation today."
Absent the parenthetical, the whole story isn't told.
It's not tying a single lie to him in some sort of vindictive or punitive way.
It's endemic to his character. It's a defining feature. It's THE defining feature.
The things he says are more likely to be untrue than true. Observably.
But it's not bias. It's simply an important but damaging truth, which, due to his position, happens to be relevant to any story about him.
But if the truth damages this president, the report of it is taken as bias.
Which tells us something.
So any story about him that deals with foreign relations needs to feature the FACT that he cannot be trusted.
So any story about him that deals with bipartisan negotiation must feature the FACT that he cannot be trusted.
So any story about him that deals with Republican policy must feature the FACT that he cannot be trusted.
So any story about him that deals with investigations or legal trouble must feature the FACT that he cannot be trusted.
So any story about him that deals with White House statements or policy must feature the FACT that he cannot be trusted.
So any story about him that deals with Republican voters should feature the FACT that they are observably unconcerned with truth.
If it's not observable, why can we see it?
If we can see it, how is it now where we are now—right now?
If it's where we are, how is it not news? How is it not THE news?
It's mandatory to stop pretending. We have to demand it.
Imagine the news would only report about potatoes on the ground, and the effects, but wouldn't commit to saying the potatoes came from the sky, even though everybody could see it.
Also, all our windows are smashed. We're not sure why.
Also, we're running out of drinking water. Some say it's tied to the fact it only rains potatoes. Others aren't sure.
Next up: another 70 million potatoes landed on the Eastern seaboard last night.
Also, in Chicago, a woman threw a potato at her Senator's car as it passed for not addressing the potato rains.
OPINION: Here's why that lady is as bad as the potato rains.
Our culture of lies are a potato rain, and Trump is its rain king.
We have to insist on facts.
It's a matter of survival.
