Look at how Democracy has made Muslims enemies one to another. May Allaah rectify our affairs. They have even forgotten their Islamic brotherhood and what seems to define their love and hatred is candidates and party loyalty. It's sad and a big shame. Be mindful of Allaah.
Because of party loyalty and candidate preference, Muslims are throwing away their "al-Wala wal bara'" (loving and hating for the sake of Allaah) and fast forgetting the Shariah demand on them to love one another.
It has eroded our moral foundation and youth shamelessly insulting others all in the name of democracy. Painfully so, the Muslim youth that is supposed to be an embodiment of respect and morality is seen today at the forefront of insulting seniors all in the name of democracy.
And to say that the youth at the forefront of insultung and shaming people old enough to be their parents think themselves to be intellectuals and progressives is a fallacy of assumption. How can there ever be progress in the life of he who insults and is disrespectful to seniors
Sadly, the Muslim youth in a democratic setting like Nigeria today can insult and curse a scholar in order to affirm his loyalty to a politician. What a shame
It's terrible how again Muslim youth boldly and shamelessly insult their seniors because of a politician that knows nothing about how they struggle to pay bills. Where is the Islamic moral values we boast of? Or because of democracy, the Islamic values are no longer applicable?
What shakes me and sends a shiver down my spine is the bold statement of some Muslim youth and even elders regarding politics and how they relegate even Allaah ton the tail end. They keep saying "so -and-so will win" In shaa Allaah to them is an alien statement.
Let us get our acts together and be true Muslims and not allow worldly affiliations destroy us spiritually and morally.
