I guess Suge taking the plea deal and serving out the rest of his natural born life for running over a man at Tam's over a beef regarding the NWA biopic is really the only way it could've ended.
We'll remember Suge as the most terrifying boogeyman in LA rap history, but there was obviously another side. He had a brilliant ear for talent, immense savvy and built one of the best independent labels of all-time from scratch. Plus, my dad swears that he's a really nice guy.
My dad apparently used to see Suge all the time smoking cigars in the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills, which as you might have guessed, was not a place where you could smoke. Classic Suge.

I guess they used to talk quite a bit and he always told me Suge was an absolute gentleman
Suge helped birth The Chronic, Doggystyle, Dogg Food, Murder Was the Case, All Eyez On Me, and the Death Row Christmas album (very slept on).

We'll conveniently ignore the Death Row Hammer album.

Obviously, he did a lot of horrible unforgivable shit. He also gave us this Gif
This '96 NYT Magazine story with Suge and 'Pac remains a classic and one of the wildest stories I've ever read. nytimes.com/1996/01/14/mag…
