A few years ago,she buzzed me. She wanted to make a traditional wedding cake but didn't like working with fondant.
She gave CDC the deal and we delivered.

Not long after,she referred her cousin to me. It was a wedding cake,and fondant was surely involved. Again,we delivered.
She has referred at least one client to me after that,as long as it had to do with fondant decoration.

I have also referred a few clients to her,especially those who didn't meet up with our business process (late orders). She also made my babe's birthday 2 years ago.
@AdaOhafia is a professional baker who knows her limits. Even though the money was good,she didn't allow greed make her dabble into a project she wasn't so sure of the outcome. She knew her limit and respected it.
Many times,we get so overwhelmed that we contract figurine moulding to other bakers. Even though an average Nigerian baker is expected to do it all,it's not a bad idea to ride on your strength and outsource your weakness.
As a matter of fact,it's a crime to your conscience if you fail to deliver the excellent product you promise. Cake is usually the icing of every event,and nobody deserves to get trash after parting with his/her hard-earned money.
If you cannot deliver a design,say it. It will amaze you that some customers will even prefer your suggested designs to the ones they have in mind. Admitting our imperfection isn't a shame.
On this app,I have won bigger deals from a client because I honestly turned down a 5k cake due to short notice. I wasn't at the meeting where CDC was recommended by him because of our honesty. It was a classmate of mine who called to inform me - and I felt the pride in his voice.
We must all learn to be @AdaOhafia. If the task is bigger than us,let us learn to turn it down and recommend any other tested and trusted brand to do it. That way,we are actually enhancing our brand.
