Still extraordinarily preoccupied with opening a story with a straight-up attempted bride-napping.

Three brothers at the bottom of a nomadic caste system, they move to a city, and through a series of conveniences to the people in power become morale rallying points for a newly independent state.

This means for the first time, ever, girls talk to them.

But they are still, in spite of any newfound notoriety and esteem, trashy boys from the hungry steppe. who, literally, expected to die bachelors.

There is no way they can handle this like normal, well-adjusted people.

So when the war starts to go south, maybe they decide the check out of the city. And on their way out, grab the girl who has been nicest to them. Y'know, just throw a burlap sack over her and throw her over a shoulder and head out the door.

They're doing her a favor, really. I mean, this city is being shelled. Who would want to stay? They sure don't. And hey, back on the steppe, she'll have THREE husbands. That's pretty cool, a lot of girls would love that! So really, this is good. When you REALLY think about it.

And she knows them, right? She knows they're nice. She knows they're Nice Guys. They wouldn't be, y'know.

MEAN.

After awhile, she'd see this was the right choice for everyone!

Three husbands. Pretty neat. She'd be lucky, really.

Of course, ask any woman on the planet how'd she'd take being grabbed off the street by three male friends and told "You're our wife now!" and they would... probably... disagree. But the boys would literally NEVER think about it in those terms.

These aren't enlightened guys. They're not progressive. They're not even literate. They still think in terms of the steppe. And they absolutely have it in them to do this utterly backwards, appalling thing.

I would feel negligent as a writer to NOT have them do it.

Question is, would everybody reading the comic hate them forever afterwards.
