Shower thought: would "freedom of the press" have worked if paper companies conspired to "deplatform" newspapers they opposed? If "Big Ink" refused to sell? If Teamsters refused to deliver raw materials or accept finished products based on ideology?
How is censoring content from public forum sites / banning apps from the big two cell phone platforms any different than starving Colonial-era printing presses? Do not both violate "Freedom of the press"?
In fact, using the marketplace to force conformity has long been an abhorrent concept -- certainly as old as the "Mark Of The Beast" in Revelations of the New Testament Bible. It's also a real and current as China's "Social Credit" system.
I think we need a Constitutional Amendment both guaranteeing the right to commerce *and* protecting anonymous payment... because, mark my words, the end of cash is next.
