It’s been years now since he taught himself the trick and I still amstartled when I walk in on Sergei the cat using the toilet.
If I’m alone in the house, I hear the sound, frequently have a “ARRGH SERIAL KILLER IN THE HOUSE wait why is he using the bathroom OH RIGHT the cat taught himself to use the toilet because he wouldn’t share a litter box with the peons.”
(And before anyone asks how he learned that, it was a natural outgrowth of when he started peeing in the food dish to punish the dog.)
He cannot figure out flushing, so he comes and abuses a human until we flush for him.
