Why have I never heard of Cangrande Della Scalla before?! Why did I spend so much time in history class reading the Crucible when it was freaking ergot, end of story, and there was a charming Italian warlord yanking arrows out of his own wounds in battle?

I honestly don’t believe there’s any overarching conspiracy to nearly anything, but “Let’s make history curriculums boring so kids don’t read it and then discover Very Upsetting Things” would be a really slick bit of social engineering.

For my Jewish and non-Jewish followed who have not previously owned or carried a firearm I thought I’d start a thread on the subject. I don’t actually claim any special expertise but I’ve been carrying firearms, other weapons, and personal preparedness equipment for decades.
A bit of background. As you know from reading my bio, I’m a retired Naval Aviator. I’ve been retired for a while and most of my service was in the reserves. Interestingly, I had almost no firearms training in the Navy. I was initially qualified on a S&W Model 10 .38 revolver.
Later, I qualified on an M-16. Other than shooting a revolver off the fantail of the ship at garbage, those two events were literally the only time I fired a gun in my entire career. I don’t think I’m unique in that among Aviators of my age.

Hello, darling #Exvangelical fam. What a fucking week, huh? I feel like I say that every week but let's be real, every week it is true. This crazed dystopia we are living in does not seem to let up.
So much love to the Jewish community this week in the midst of so much grief.
I will include my usual warning - if you don't feel up to this, that is fine. No one is requiring you to sit through deconstruction of a narcissistic asshole, you are loved and valued and your safety and well being is the most important thing.

One of the positive side effects of the excruciating, awful, relentless months in which the sole GOP legislative goal was to end the Affordable Care Act and eliminate protections for people with pre-existing conditions is that, today, people can tell that Republicans are lying.
Take, for example, this ad by Republican Rick Scott. One of his Senate campaign's closing arguments is that, he claims, he supports "forcing insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions"—& cares even more than the Democratic incumbent, Bill Nelson.
The problem that Nelson faces is that the Floridians who care most about health care were watching the ACA fight very, very closely. They were calling @SenBillNelson's office day after day. They know Nelson promised to protect their health care. They know he kept his promise.

The Evidence Obtained Outside Cameras will not show any evidence of ‘tempering’ but other than license plates of dozens of diplomatic cars (Many with tinted windows-large trunks) with related time stamp, drivers Info, model/year: Nothing.
#Turkish Intel-Investigative Bodies also have the list of all Diplomatic & Private Saudi & “other significant’ Planes in #Turkey for the period of ‘interest.’ Many of the Target airports have their own security cameras & related evidence.
