My husband is a 25yr retired AF vet. He was no paper pusher, part of his career was making sure guns worked on gunships, part making sure bombs locked and loaded for pilots on the F-16. Even in leadership positions he made sure it got done. To give you some perspective /1
he was actually deployed to the same base Lutrell was finally able to return to. He lived and saw what that base was going through. Recently, even though retired, he was deployed and as always it's dangerous, he had to find out how fast he could run, and give 1st aide to /2
another. Still retired (obviously) today as I write this, he is not at home. He is still serving our country, though in a different way. He yet again missed Thanksgiving, Christmas New Years an our daughters birthday. He has missed so much, that in college my son /3
told his flight in ROTC who weren't taking it seriously that this was no game. He told them his dad was gone at least 50% of his life (he wasn't, but to my son it felt that way). I am always in disbelief at how he treats our vets, and AD members /4
but to hear it come out of The President of the Unites States say we should have gotten Bin Laden sooner, is close to being one the most disgusting thing he has ever said. There could still be members of that mission AD. He has taken to insulting all vets and AD just because /5
his ego can not handle any criticism and worse because he is politicizing our military, our vets and our intelligence agencies, both past and career members. Because he can not stand Obama anything he stands for or that he did. With all his lies about treating our vets and /6
better than all others, is still politicizing our vets and AD.
How can so many support him still?
