I’m so tired of non-natives attempting to use natives to attack Elizabeth Warren. Right now I’m more worried about my relatives in North Dakota who’s votes are being suppressed by the GOP & SCOTUS & Warren is fighting for a Native Voter Rights Act.
Elizabeth Warren has stood up against Trump from day 1, sometimes alone. I respect that. She’s also come out to protect the good name of Pocahontas, who was a prepubescent Native girl who was kidnapped, sexually assaulted and held hostage by European invaders.
DNA tests do not make one Native. We are so much more than that. Natives belong to over 570 different tribes in the U.S. alone. No DNA test can point toward what tribe(s) you’re from. Each tribe has its own language, culture, history and system of kinship.

I keep thinking back to a discussion a few months on reddit about THE BELGARIAD. Several comments were made about it being cliche and pedestrian, and someone said, “Yeah, it’s a fine story, but it’s never going to be a classic.”
And all I could think to respond was, “It’s over thirty years later and we’re still talking about it. How is that NOT ‘a classic’?
But that got me thinking- I cite THE BELGARIAD (and THE MALLOREON, its sequel series) as one of my influential works. But what is that influence? I know I’ve read the whole series several times. My copies of the books are in terrible shape.

Right now in Ireland a family who recieve a devastating diagnosis about their much wanted pregancy have no option but to carry to full term regardless of their wishes. Two families a week travel to the UK to access the care they need. You can ONLY change this by voting yes.
Right now in Ireland women can have their cancer treatment stopped if they become pregnant, regardless of their wishes. Michelle Harte had to travel to the UK while gravely ill to access the abortion care she needed. She later died. You can ONLY change this by voting yes.
